Exploitation of means of transport is an important decision issue for transport companies that perform transport tasks. The means of transport during their operation lose their functional properties, which mean that they require technical service and repairs. The components of operating costs of means of transport are expenditures incurred for servicing and expenditures incurred for repairs. As the first cost component increases, the other will decrease and vice versa. We obtain the optimal economic effect of the means of transport when the sum of costs reaches the minimum value. The article presents the problems of optimization of the technical service system. This required identification of technical services and basic parameters characterizing the operation system. On this basis, a mathematical approach to the problem of modelling the maintenance system is presented, including the decision variables, constraints and the criterion function. The identification of the problem of modelling the technical service system is presented in the case study for modelling the technical service of means of transport – buses in the company providing passenger transport services in public transport.

Uwarunkowania legislacyjne oraz ograniczenia techniczno-technologiczne, dotyczące utrzymania statków powietrznych na odpowiednim poziomie zdatności technicznej wpływają na organizację procesu obsług technicznych statków powietrznych znajdujących się w strukturze Sił Zbrojnych RP. W artykule przedstawiono charakterystykę stanów w jaki może znajdować się system eksploatacji ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem procesu eksploatacji statku powietrznego. Przedstawiono podstawowe założenia, zidentyfikowano i przedstawiono matematyczne zapisy ich parametrów. Określono zależność miedzy stanami systemu eksploatacji statku powietrznego a działaniem systemu obsług technicznych. Zapisano formalnie model systemu obsług statków powietrznych (MSOSP). Zaproponowano kryteria oceny jego działania. Ponadto, przedstawiono elementy systemu obsług Wyższej Szkole Oficerskiej Sił Powietrznych (WSOSP) związanych z procesem szkolenia pilotów. Artykuł zakończono krótkim podsumowaniem.

Legislative considerations as well as technical and technological constraints on the aircraft maintenance (at an appropriate technical competence level) affect an organization of the aircraft maintenance process in Polish Armed Forces structure. The paper presents characteristics of the aircraft maintenance system states. The basic assumptions, mathematical relationships and parameters of modelled system were presented. The relationship between the state of the aircraft maintenance system and the technical support system has been determined. The model of the aircraft maintenance system (MSOSP) and criteria for evaluating its performance was formally written. In addition, authors presented elements of the aircraft maintenance system that are used to train pilots at the Polish Air Force Academy (WSOSP). Paper is concluded with a brief summary, which highlights the importance of such system as well as its optimization.

W artykule przedstawiono problematykę eksploatacji środków transportu. Rozważania skoncentrowane zostały na przedstawieniu problemów decyzyjnych, jakie występują w przedsiębiorstwach transportowych, które w swoich zasobach posiadają środki transportu. W ramach problemów decyzyjnych scharakteryzowano system eksploatacji środków transportu oraz przedstawiono jego model, ponadto dokonano charakterystyki strategie eksploatacji, które w istotny sposób wpływają na System Obsługi Technicznej środków transportu. W opracowaniu przedstawiono również problematykę intensywności wykorzystania środków transportu oraz wybrane modele decyzyjne w ich eksploatacji.

The article presents the problem of exploitation of means of transport. The considerations were focused on presenting decision-making problems that exist in transport companies that have means of transport in their resources. As part of decision-making problems, the system of exploitation of means of transport was characterized and its model was presented, in addition, characteristics of exploitation strategies were made, which significantly affect the Technical Service System of means of transport. The study also presents the issue of the intensity of the use of means of transport and selected decision models in their operation.

The paper presents sense of logistic processes in the aspect of optimizing technical servicing and influence on logistic costs. Modeling process was supported with LINGO Extended 7.0 software. Moreover author presents an example of applying LINGO applications to solving spccified decision situation for the company exploititig non-homogeneous means of transport.
