This paper focuses on an educational system wherein demotion and double promotion are not allowed. The total enrolment in such a system is modelled as a linear model within the context of factor analysis. The goal is to represent the total enrolment in terms of latent factors which generate the flows in the system. The notion of the matrix spectrum and the spectral radius are used to benchmark the specific variances and to approximate the factor loading vector, respectively. Two main theorems are propounded alongside with their proofs. A numerical illustration is given.

Artykuł koncentruje się na systemie edukacyjnym, w którym nie jest możliwe powtarzanie i podwójna promocja są niedozwolone. Całkowita liczba uczestników w takim systemie może być badana w ramach modelu liniowego z zastosowaniem analizy czynnikowej. Celem jest przedstawienie całkowitej liczby rekrutowanych w zależności od ukrytych czynników, które generują przepływy w systemie. Pojęcie spektrum macierzy i promienia spektralnego są używane dla porównania wariancji i do przybliżenia odpowiednio wektora wag czynników. Sformułowano dwa twierdzenia wraz z dowodami. Podano numeryczną ilustrację.

W artykule przedstawiono przegląd autorskich opracowań w zakresie bezpieczeństwa ruchu drogowego. Dział ten zilustrowano analizą danych bazowych zarówno w wymiarze technicznym, jak i biocybernetycznym. W tym drugim rozumieniu mieści się system edukacyjny w zakresie wychowania komunikacyjnego, poddany ocenie a posteriori w sensie testu kompetencji kandydatów na nauczycieli edukacji wczesnoszkolnej i przedszkolnej. W analizowanym przypadku poddano testom kilka niezależnych grup słuchaczy. Przedstawione wyniki badań opatrzono wnioskami, sugerującymi konieczność podjęcia wzmożonego wysiłku w wymiarze systemowym dla długookresowej poprawy stanu bezpieczeństwa ruchu drogowego w Polsce.

In the paper an overview of the author’s research in the area of transport safety is presented. The main problem is illustrated with the basic data both in the technical and in the educational field. A part of the educational system in case of road safety formation is presented. The system of motorisation culture creation is a posteriori evaluated using a test, prepared by the author, for candidates for early school education teachers. In the analysed case the test procedures were performed on several groups of students. The presented results are summarised by conclusions, suggesting the need for increasing efforts towards the long-term improvement of road safety in Poland.

In this paper, a conceptual distance learning architecture based on a semantic web enabled multi-agent platform is introduced. The need for such architecture arises to automate every day management tasks of a distance education system. Agents take care of such automation by using a common vocabulary of terms defined in ontologies. The users of the system are each given an agent to act on their behalf. These agents are then used to query, negotiate and cooperate with other agents to organize tasks and inform their users

W pracy przedstawiono zagadnienie architektury systemu edukacji zdalnej opartej na wieloagentowej sieci. Zapotrzebowanie na taki system wynika z potrzeby automatyzacji codziennej pracy w systemie edukacji zdalnej. Agent zajmuje się automatyzacją tej pracy, stosując powszechne słownictwo zdefiniowane w bazach. Każdy użytkownik ma swojego własnego agenta. Agenci tacy współpracują z innymi agentami w celu organizacji zadań i przekazywania informacjiswoim użytkownikom

Education needs good, intelligent multimedia programs which are systems based on knowledge and which use the following functions: diagnosis, recognition, interpretation, etc. System agent is a modern, intelligent interface between the user and the computer network. The paper presents some theories and applications of intelligent agents and multi-agent systems. Among the wide spectrum of intelligent agent's applications are definitely the information retrieval, individual information service, mailing, calendar. The role of the intelligent software agents has been increasing over the years and the main effect of this phenomena is the automatic performance of functions without the involvement of the user. The intelligent agent is able to cooperate with other agents and it needs to know where it can get the information from.
