The Internet of Things (IoT) and mixed reality are now among the most important areas in research or in practice. The aim of this paper is to propose an appropri‐ ate way of connection of these two areas, where is pos‐ sible to control and monitor mechatronic devices using a mobile device with augmented/mixed reality support. The main task will be to explore these options in the area and implement this solution as prototype. The proposed methodology for control and diagnostics of mechatronic devices is modern as it combines hardware management, Unity engine for mixed reality development, and commu‐ nication within the IoT network.

Wiele badań potwierdza pozytywny wpływ roślin na samopoczucie ludzi i wydajność ich pracy. Działanie to opiera się nie tylko na oddziaływaniu psychologicznym, ale także na efekcie fotosyntezy oraz zdolności roślin do biofiltracji zanieczyszczeń. W artykule przedstawiono innowacyjny system kontroli powietrza wewnętrznego dedykowany do współpracy z biologicznym filtrem powietrza. Omawiany system umożliwia efektywną integrację naturalnych (rośliny) i technicznych (wentylacja) metod poprawy jakości powietrza wewnętrznego. Synergia obu aspektów miała na celu wytworzenie systemu, który będzie spełniał rolę filtratora przy równoczesnym zachowaniu walorów estetycznych.

Many studies confirm the positive impact of plants on the well-being of people and their individual productivity. This effect is based not only on psychological impact but also on the effect of photosynthesis and the ability of plants to remove pollutants. The article presents an innovative control system of indoor air dedicated for cooperation with a biological air filter. It enables effective integration of natural (plants) and technical (ventilation) methods of improving indoor air quality. The synergy of both aspects was aimed at creating a system that will act as a filtrator while maintaining aesthetic values.

W artykule rozpatrzono sposób syntezy regulatorów neuronowych, które wykorzystuje się do sterowania dynamicznymi obiektami nieliniowymi. Zbadano stabilność układu sterowania z regulatorem neuronowym, którego struktura została zaprojektowana według pożądanej reguły sterowania. Zaproponowano strukturę, w której w przeciwieństwie do zwykle stosowanego wprowadzenia uchybu regulacji na wejście regulatora podaje się sygnał wejściowy oraz wyjściowy na dwa oddzielne wejścia, co powoduje większą skuteczność działania systemu sterowania, a mianowicie polepszenie, jakości sterowania oraz przyśpieszenie reakcji systemu na sygnały wymuszające.

The nature of nonlinearities in the objects of control particularly in the drives of robotic systems as dynamic objects of the second order is analyzed and shown that under the influence of some loads the mathematical model of such object is nonlinear and its linearization leads to disregard factors that significantly affect the dynamics of the object. The controllers which are built using classical methods in the process of system operation do not provide full adequacy between the values of specified and actual controlled variables of nonlinear control objects. An application of neural controllers promises the best prospects. We consider features of construction of dynamic neural network and the mathematical models of standard carried the review of functions of activation neurons and feasibility of using gradient algorithms including the algorithm Levenberg Marquardt for training dynamic neural networks. It is supposed that the system is based on the proportional-integral-differential law. The stability of the system supported by neurocontroller with two separated inputs is discussed. Obviously the control action of such dynamic system is corresponded with the difference between output signals of the non-linear object and the chosen standard. On contrary to a typical structure it was proposed to put these signals on two separate inputs. During the training procedure everyone weight is found one from another independently. This task has been considered which include the location of the dominant roots of the characteristic equation of the closed-loop system in a given area of the complex plane of the roots and then return back to the open-loop system. The comparison of obtained errors in traditional and proposed structures of neurocontroller showed that the last one is the most effective in quality and productivity sense.

In this paper an active multimodal beam vibration reduction via one actuator is considered. The optimal actuator distribution is analyzed with two methods: an exact mathematical principles and the LQ problem idea. It turned out that the same mathematical expressions are derived. Thus, these methods are equivalent.

The paper presents a modeling method and mathematical description of a two-wheeled self-balancing vehicle and its rider. A model of the rider that was used contains a model of the ankle joint, so we could determine the interaction between the rider and the vehicle. The paper presents results of computer simulations , which show the fundamental processes during riding, such as acceleration and braking.

The paper describes the robot equipped with tool using to surface finish machining. Presented examples of robots using to: milling, grinding, polishing. Showed example of CADCAM system to robot machining. Idea of surface machining based on adaptation of tool position to unknown surface shape. Presents modernized system to robot control by PC. To support its position was developed in VB6 environment RoboCAM special software. Video optical systems for the surface geometry scanning is presented. The worked out system software is recognizing surface profile and changing position of` robot head equipped with tool.

One of the possibilities of the minimisation of necessary costs using for production, transmission and distribution of electric power is realisation of the optimisation of electric power system operation. Methodology of the complex optimisation problem solution of whole electric power system is not yet in process, therefore this complex problem is solving by dividing to the several particular optimisation problems. The article presents the mathematical formulation of the problem of Economic dispatching control of power plants and the problem of Active power losses minimisation in the electric power system. SOMA (Self-Organising Migration Algorithm) was used for the solution of these particular optimisation problems.

Przedstawiono w sposób ogólny badania prowadzone w Instytucie Automatyki i Informatyki Stosowanej. Obejmują one zagadnienia związane ze: sterowaniem, symulacją i optymalizacją systemów złożonych, biometrią uczeniem maszynowym, robotyką, rozpoznawaniem obrazów i sygnałów mowy, sterowaniem układów nieliniowych, metodami wytwarzania oprogramowania oraz oceny jego jakości, wspomaganiem decyzji, badaniami operacyjnymi, harmonogramowaniem oraz bazami danych. Przedstawiono zarówno dokonania teoretyczne jak i aplikacyjne w tym zakresie.

The paper presents in generał the research conducted at the Institute of Control and Computation Engineering. This research encompasses: control, simulation and optimization of complex systems, biometrics, machine leaming, robotics, pattern and speech recognition, nonlinear control, methods of software engineering and evaluation of its quality, decision support, operations research, scheduling and data bases. Both the obtained theoretical results and application of those results have been presented.

There has been performed the analysis of techniques used in process of providing quality in computerized information systems. The following techniques have been described: - review of the system, - supervision of the system, audit of the system, inspection, - testing. The purpose of review is providing the correspondence of designed system with specification. The purpose of the system supervision is discovering and identifying its elements defects. The audit is led from the point of view of the system correspondence: verification with processed in act of designing, chosen standards, like procedure norm and instruction. The system supervision is based on principle that the other person, not the system creator, performs review of the documentation as well as searches for made errors. The purpose of the testing is discovering the errors in researched object that might be: the project of system, computerized information system, its part or prototype. Testing occurs in each cycle of life of computerized information system; it is a variant of industrial quality control. Majority of information products functions is not a subject of industrial quality tests. It results from the fact that software production most often is individual not serial or mass - produced. Therefore the methods of industrial quality controls do not apply to software. Each program owns unique combination of functions that differ. Big amount of software functions causes that amount of those combinations grows and very often is impossible to definite. Most often only 10% of program is the subject of verification. The number of applicable methods to provide the quality in computerized information systems is considerably smaller than system designing methods. Prevailing techniques do not provide obtaining high quality computerized information system. They do not guarantee obtainment of reliable computerized information system. Predominately used criterion is called system is good enough. Therefore verification of computerized information system quality is indispensable i.e. its control. The research made in industry shows that errors occur even in simple industrial production. Moreover only small part of quality estimation methods used in industry are applicable to estimate the quality of computerized information system. Inspection and testing are most often used methods of supervising.

In this paper, a DSP based computer system for FM-CW radar applications is described. Besides data acquisition and storage, the computer system will also be used for front-end data processing and system control. Processing includes filtering and clutter suppression. The radar for which the computer is designed is a multi parameter atmospheric profiler capable of doing Doppler and polarimetric measurements. The computer system will allow for a measurement of the full polarimetric scattering matrix over 512 range cells and 512 Doppler cells in 2 s. Radar system control includes the timing and the settings of the radar system together with linearity correction of the sweep oscillator.
