The purpose of this research was to specify the interrelationships of various scientific disciplines based on the official declarations of scientists. The most required scientific disciplines were identified for multidisciplinary research. Undirected graphs with the specified parameters were used for modelling of community structure. On the basis of an open database POLON, a graph was created for the connections among disciplines of science. The number of scientists in particular branches and disciplines of science was presented. The connections with in the branches of science and disciplines were shown. Four different measures were considered: percentage of double declarants, vertex degree, weighted vertex degree and betweenness centrality. The disciplines with highest level of interdisciplinarity were found, namely: biomedical engineering, informatics, culture and religious sciences, health sciences, and security sciences. On the contrary, very isolated disciplines were found, including the following: musical arts, astronomy, visual arts and conservation of cultural heritage, veterinary medicine, and archeology. Finally, it was concluded that two branches research (medicals sciences or management and quality sciences) are the most interdisciplinary in Poland.

The paper presents experimental tests for electromechanical drives for use in ventilation and smoke extraction systems of buildings. The determined characteristics (force, shift, current and voltage as a function of time) enable the assessment of applicability of these drives as the drives of flaps and windows in fire protection systems. The study was conducted using a developed test stand facilitating the determination of characteristics of work of linear and rotary drives in changeable temperatures.

W artykule przedstawiono badania eksperymentalne napędów elektromechanicznych pod kątem zastosowania w systemach wentylacji i oddymiania budynków. Wyznaczone charakterystyki (siła, przemieszczenie, prąd i napięcie zasilania w funkcji czasu) pozwalają na dokonanie oceny możliwości ich zastosowania do napędu klap i okien w systemach przeciwpożarowych. W badaniach wykorzystano opracowane stanowisko umożliwiające wyznaczanie charakterystyk pracy napędów liniowych i obrotowych w zmiennych warunkach temperatury.

The article presents a model system for testing an anti-wind covers of smoke detectors used in active protection systems that decide on the level of technical safety. There are described problems related to an improper operation of a smoke detector system located on the valve ducts. The research also describes the procedures of testing the anti-wind covers for the certification purposes for application in the fire-fighting systems. There is also presented a research stand that works with the combustion chamber where the fire test verifies the smoke sensor. The developed research system consists of test for fixing the anti-wind covers is equipped in duct ventilation with exchangeable chambers with a specialized control-measurement module. This developed system allows for a control of researched parameters (velocity and direction of an air stream, a rate of smoke presence), measurement data acquisition (a rate of smoke presence, temperature, humidity, and a time trigger), their visualization and report generation.

W artykule zaprezentowano koncepcję modelowego systemu do badań osłon przeciwwietrznych z czujkami dymu stosowanych w zabezpieczeniach czynnych poprawiających poziom bezpieczeństwa przeciwpożarowego. Przedstawiono problemy związane z nieprawidłowym funkcjonowaniem układów wykrywania dymu w kanałach wentylacyjnych. Opisano procedury badań osłon przeciwwietrznych, jakim muszą podlegać w celu uzyskania certyfikatu dopuszczającego do zastosowania w systemach ppoż. Zaprezentowano koncepcję budowy stanowiska badawczego składającego się z testowego kanału wentylacyjnego z uniwersalną komorą do montażu osłon przeciwwietrznych wyposażonego w system kontrolno-pomiarowy odpowiedzialny za realizację opracowanych procedur badawczych.

The article presents the concept of the model system for testing the anti-wind covers with smoke detectors used in active protection devices adding to the fire protection. The issues related to incorrect functioning of the smoke detectors in the ventilation systems were discussed. The testing procedures are described to which the anti-wind covers are subjected in order to gain relevant certificates. The article presents the concept of the construction of the test stand consisting of test ventilation duct with universal chamber for fixing of the anti-wind covers equipped with the control-measurement system responsible for performing of the described testing procedures.

Przedstawiono problemy związane z nieprawidłowym funkcjonowaniem układów oddymiania i wentylacji. Opisano procedury badań napędów, jakim muszą podlegać w celu uzyskania certyfikatu dopuszczającego do zastosowania w systemach ppoż. Zaprezentowano koncepcję budowy stanowiska badawczego składającego się z komory klimatycznej wyposażonej w układ obciążający organy wykonawcze o ruchu liniowym lub obrotowym testowanych siłowników, wyposażonego w system kontrolno-pomiarowy odpowiedzialny za realizację opracowanych procedur badawczych.

The testing procedures are described to which the drives are subjected in order to gain relevant certificates. The article presents the concept of the construction of the test stand consisting of the conditioning chamber equipped with the loading system for the linear or rotary effectors, equipped with the control-measurement system responsible for performing of the described testing procedures.

Praca dotyczy systematyzacji eksperymentalnych badań tribologicznych, opracowanej w Zakładzie Tribologii ITeE. Zawiera opis opartych na systemowym podejściu rozważań teoretycznych i badań eksperymentalnych, które umożliwiły opracowanie modelu kompleksowego systemu identyfikacji charakterystyk tarcia i zużywania, pozwalającego na zwiększenie powtarzalności i odtwarzalności badań tribologicznych oraz ograniczenie zjawiska "testing rush". Szerokie wdrożenie rezultatów badań potwierdziło zasadność przyjętego podejścia. Opracowany system badań stanowi teoretyczną podstawę kompleksowej standaryzacji badań tribologicznych.

The paper concerns the tribological research systematisation, worked out in the Tribology Department, ITeE. It comprises theoretical and experimental analyses which allow for elaborating a model of complex identification system for friction and wear characteristics. The model makes it possible to improve repeatability and reproducibility of test results and reduce the tendency known as "testing rush". This new approach has been confirmed by wide implementation of test results. The elaborated research system constitutes the theoretical basis for complex standardisation of tribological research.
