The new measuring methods based on the laser scanners, inertial units, laser instruments to control deformation, vibration, and tilt control, are expected to alleviate the assessment of the loss of usable values and safety of utilization of buildings, and engineering constructions in the mining-affected areas. This is of particular importance, first, in the case, of multi-storey, large panel, buildings, exploited for several tens of years, and on the other side, for instance, of bridges or mine shaft towers, being engineering objects subjected to static and dynamic loads. The paper analyses the possibility of using the cheap 2D scanners in the process of monitoring of tilt and deformation of the object, as a function of static and dynamic environmental effects, including mining ones.

Przeanalizowano, wykorzystując program Carpet 2, rozkład prawdopodobieństwa wykrycia trzech różnych obiektów nawodnych w funkcji ich odległości od anteny radaru pasma X podczas opadów atmosferycznych o różnej intensywności i przy różnych stanach morza. Badano możliwości detekcji sygnału obiektu o skutecznej powierzchni odbicia 10, 50 i 400 metrów kwadratowych. Otrzymane rezultaty porównano z wynikami pomiarów eksperymentalnych dla małego obiektu pływającego typu RIB.

Using program Carpet 2 it has been analyzed detection probability distribution of three different sea surface objects in function of their distance from the X band radar scanner during precipitation with different intensity and for different sea state. It has been researched detection possibility of signals returned by objects with radar cross section (RCS) 10, 50 and 400 square meters. Received effects have been compared with the results of experimental measurements conducted with small RIB - type object.
