S-C-TiO2 films with thiourea as the source of S and with honey comb ceramic wafers as carriers were prepared by sol-gel-dipping-lifting method. The performances of S-C-TiO2 films were characterized by the XRD diffractometer, the XPS spectrometer, the UV-Vis spectrophotometer and BET. The results showed that S atoms substituting part of Ti atoms and forming Ti1-xSxO2 state with a little of carbon might be in the state of S4+ existing in TiO2 crystal lattices, and suitable amount of S and C-doping both increases the absorbance of TiO2 under visible light and inhibits the particles growth. Synchronously, a little remained organic matters existed in TiO2 crystal lattices. The research on effect of different sulfur-doping contents on the photodegradation of TiO2 film showed that the degradation activity of S-C-TiO2 film on methylene blue was optimal when the proportion of thiourea to tetrabutoxide Ti(OC4H9)4 was 3:1, and the decomposition rate of methylene blue was more than 99% after photoirradiation for 5 h.
