Acridines constitute an interesting class of compounds with significant pharmaceutical relevance. They have been used in the treatment of various diseases, including bacterial and viral infections, cancer, and neurological disorders. This article discusses the structures and properties of the most pharmaceutically important aminoacridines, along with a review of their crystal structures deposited in the Cambridge Structural Database (CSD). The review may support the design of new multicomponent crystal systems with pharmaceutical potential derived from this group of compounds.
