Waste management costs. A case-based study on selected Polish cities

This article attempts to find the strongest factors that impact waste management system costs. Case-based studies in three selected voivodeship Polish cities, Opole, Gdańsk, and Cracow found waste collection and transport, processing, and system management to be the dominant cost factors. The price of fuel, electricity and the rates of wages indirectly decide the determined management costs in the above-mentioned categories. The increase in waste management costs on a national scale observed in recent years is mainly from actions taken by companies to meet increasingly restrictive legal requirements. For example, the allowed time for waste storage has been shortened and the amount of environmental fees paid for waste landfilling has been increased. In addition, the obligation to watch the temporary storage and landfill as well as the implementation of fire protection rules. In the cities analyzed, the increase in waste management operating costs between 2017 and 2021 ranged from 41.3% for Gdańsk to 63.5% for Opole.

The latest revision of national standards, aimed at the thermal performance of structures, conformed to internationally applicable standards of energy-efficient construction, low-energy construction, ultra-energy construction, and nearly zero-energy construction. This paper analyzes the requirements of thermal revised standards in the context of the construction of apartment buildings. The mentioned required standards involve improved and more detailed project planning, leading to the comprehensive realization of building projects as they are intended. Currently, in addition to traditional ways of building, there is an increasing prevalence of modern methods of construction. MMC are using the potential of prefabricated parts of structures. In this article, the aforementioned methods will be compared from an energy conservation and economic point of view.

Ostatnia zmiana norm krajowych (na Słowacji) miała na celu dostosowanie wydajności termicznej budynków i budowli do międzynarodowych standardów budownictwa energooszczędnego, budownictwa niskoenergetycznego, ultraenergetycznego i bliskiego zeru budownictwa energetycznego. Artykuł analizuje wymagania zmienionych norm cieplnych w kontekście budowy budynków apartamentowych. Wymienione wymagania normatywne narzucają przygotowanie projektu na wyższym poziomie szczegółowości i większą jakość realizacji. Obecnie, oprócz tradycyjnych systemów budowlanych, coraz częściej są stosowane nowoczesne sposoby realizacji. MMC wykorzystują potencjał prefabrykowanych elementów konstrukcji budowlanych. W artykule zostaną porównane powyższe metody budowy z punktu widzenia efektywności energetycznej i ekonomicznej.

The dissertation has a review character and describes the phenomenon of attitudes change in the context of Project Management implementation in the organization. The goals of this works are as follows: presentation what is the attitudes change during PM implementation, presentation of case studies where attitudes change has the main impact during project management implementation and distinguishing the factors influencing attitudes change towards project management. The dissertation describes what is PM, attitudes change and organizational culture change. There are two case studies described at the end of it, which are describing how the attitude change was conducted in two different organizations.

Praca mając charakter przeglądowy opisuje zjawisko zmiany postaw w kontekście wdrażania w organizacji systemu zarządzania projektami. Celem pracy było przedstawienie, na czym polega zmiana postaw podczas wdrażania systemu zarządzania projektami w organizacji, prezentacja studium przypadków, w których zmiana postaw odegrała istotną rolę na etapie implementacji zarządzania projektami w organizacji oraz wyróżnienie czynników warunkujących zmianę postaw pracowników względem zarządzania projektami. Po kolei zostały w niej omówione zagadnienia Project Management, zmiany postaw oraz zmiany kultury organizacyjnej. Na samym końcu opisano 2 studium przypadków, przedstawiające, w jaki sposób przeprowadzano zmianę postaw w dwóch organizacjach.
