Artykuł poświęcony jest fragmentowi prac studenckiego Koła Naukowego Historii Architektury i Urbanistyki działającego od 2004 w Instytucie Architektury, Urbanistyki i Ochrony Dziedzictwa na Wydziale Architektury Politechniki Poznańskiej. Zajmuje się ono dokumentacją twórczości architektów i urbanistów działających w XX wieku w Poznaniu. Znacząca część działalności koła związana jest z organizacją cyklicznego wernisażu Nagrody Honorowej Oddziału Poznańskiego Stowarzyszenia Architektów Polskich, w ramach którego wydawany jest katalog oraz przygotowywana wystawa i/lub produkowany film o twórczości Laureata bądź nagrodzonego zespołu twórczego. Prace koła mają charakter badań opisowych realizowanych przy pomocy metody historycznej i stosowanej w naukach społecznych, głównie w socjologii, metody dokumentów osobistych (biograficznej). Polegają na kwerendach w archiwum OP SARP i zbiorach prywatnych. Uzupełniane są wizjami lokalnymi, dokumentacją fotograficzną i filmową, kwerendą literaturową, w czasopismach fachowych, kwerendą internetową. Najważniejszym jednak ich elementem jest osobisty kontakt z twórcą lub zespołem twórczym. Relacje z architektami mają charakter tzw. action research, w których wykorzystuje się wiedzę fachową Laureatów. Zebrane materiały i publikacje (katalog, wystawa, film) mają charakter przyczynkarski i stają się przedmiotem dalszych opracowań członków Koła i naukowców. Stosowane techniki badań biograficznych, umożliwiają ilustrowanie i uzasadnianie przyjętych hipotez przykładami z uzyskanych dokumentów, zestawienie wielu dokumentów osobistych dla zilustrowania i wyjaśnienia określonych problemów, tworzenie typologii. Ten nurt badań humanistycznych jest szczególnie efektywny i operatywny metodologicznie w dziedzinie historii architektury. W oparciu o wzrastającą po kolejnych edycjach Nagrody liczbę dokumentów osobistych i narracji można w dalszych badaniach dokonywać tzw. triangulacji perspektyw, czyli poddać obiektywizacji indywidualne życiorysy i uwidocznione w nich zjawiska i procesy. Istotnym elementem prac badawczych KNHAiU prowadzonych w ramach organizacji wernisażu Nagrody Honorowej OP SARP jest połączenie perspektywy poznawczej badacza.

The article is devoted to a fragment of the work of the student Scientific Society for the History of Architecture and Town Planning, operating since 2004 at the Institute of Architecture, Town Planning and Protection of Heritage at the Faculty of Architecture of the Poznań University of Technology. It deals with the documentation of the work of architects and urban planners operating in the 20th century in Poznań. A significant part of the activity of the club is related to the organization of the cyclical vernissage of the Honorary Award of the Poznań Branch of the Association of Polish Architects, as part of which a catalog is published and an exhibition is prepared and / or a film about the work of the Laureate or the awarded creative team is produced. The work of the club is descriptive research carried out using the historical method and applied in social sciences, mainly in sociology, the method of personal (biographical) documents. They rely on searches in the archives of OP SARP and private collections. They are supplemented with site visits, photographic and film documentation, a literature search, in professional journals, and an internet query. Their most important element, however, is personal contact with the creator or creative team. Relationships with architects are of the so-called action research, which uses the professional knowledge of the Laureates. The collected materials and publications (catalog, exhibition, film) are of a contribution nature and become the subject of further studies by members of the Society and scientists. The applied techniques of biographical research make it possible to illustrate and justify the adopted hypotheses with examples from the obtained documents, to compile many personal documents to illustrate and explain specific problems, and to create a typology. This stream of humanities research is particularly effective and methodologically operative in the field of the history of architecture. Based on the increasing number of personal documents and narratives after subsequent editions of the Award, the so-called triangulation of perspectives, i.e. subjecting individual biographies and the phenomena and processes shown in them. An important element of the KNHAiU research work carried out as part of the opening of the OP SARP Honorary Award is the combination of the cognitive perspective of the researcher and the practitioner, also very productive in developing the project competences of the participants.

The Geotourism Students’ Scientific Club (GSSC) is operating at the Department of General Geology and Geotourism of AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH UST), bringing together young enthusiasts of Earth sciences, at the Faculty of Geology, Geo-physics and Environmental Protection. It has been operating continuously since 2003. The primary objective of the GSSC is to arouse interest in scientific work in the field of Earth sciences, as well as to popularise geotourism in the student community. The article reviews the most important achievements, events and activities documenting the long-term accomplishments of the GSSC. The greatest successes of the GSSC include the implementation of five rector’s grants and active participation in national and international scientific conferences. It is worth noting, that the GSSC organises its own “Geotourism” conference session as a part of the Conference of Student Special Interest Groups of the Mining Division. The members of the GSSC promote geology and geodiversity, explaining it in a manner which is comprehensible to an average person. Over the last dozen or so years, they have undertaken various activities, and some of them have become a tradition. Themed evenings and meetings with experts “That’s how it’s done!” attract a large audience from the university and beyond. Annual domestic and foreign educational and sightseeing trips, culminating in a trip to Iceland in 2022, have become an integral part of the GSSC activities.

Koło Naukowe Geoturystyka (KNGt) istniejące przy Katedrze Geologii Ogólnej i Geoturystyki Akademii Górniczo-Hutniczej dzia-ła nieprzerwanie od 2003 roku, zrzeszając młodych pasjonatów nauk przyrodniczych Wydziału Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony Środowiska. Podstawowym celem Koła jest rozbudzanie zainteresowań pracą naukową w zakresie nauk o Ziemi, jak również popularyzacja geoturysty-ki w środowisku studenckim. W artykule dokonano przeglądu najważniejszych osiągnięć, wydarzeń i aktywności stanowiących wieloletni dorobek Koła. Do największych jego sukcesów można zaliczyć realizację pięciu grantów rektora oraz aktywny udział w krajowych i zagra-nicznych konferencjach naukowych. Na wyróżnienie zasługuje własna Sekcja Geoturystyki wydzielana w ramach barbórkowej Konferencji Studenckich Kół Naukowych Pionu Górniczego. Członkowie Koła promują geologię i georóżnorodność, przekładając język naukowy na zrozumiały dla przeciętnego odbiorcy. Na przestrzeni ostatnich kilkunastu lat podejmowali różne aktywności, a część z nich przerodziła się w kołowe tradycje. Wieczorki tematyczne oraz spotkania z ekspertami „Tak to się robi!” skupiają liczną widownię, wśród której dominują studenci wydziału. W działalność Koła wpisały się również coroczne krajowe i zagraniczne wyjazdy edukacyjno-krajoznawcze, których zwieńczeniem była wyprawa na Islandię w 2022 roku.

Student scientific organizations and research groups create numerous opportunities for the development of interests and passions related to many fields of science. In case of geological sciences, student research groups are organizations which are conducive to exchanging first scientific ideas between young geologists and experienced researchers. These associations constitute also a generational bridge between students and their teachers. The beginnings of the firstformal organizations of geology students date back to the second halfof the 1940s and 1950s. Due to the nature of geological studies, membership in scientific circles, is associatedfrom the beginning of their activities with many research trips and participation in conferences. This paper aims at presenting the history and contemporary activity of geological student research groups in Poland. We describedfive organizations, whose activities constitute an integral part of geological studies in our country. Authors wish to remind distinguished teachers and members of student research groups, who contributed to their development in a special way.

In 1926 and in 1930, members of Mathematics and Physics Students’ Club of the Warsaw University published the guidance for the first year students. These texts would help the freshers in constraction of the plans and course of theirs studies in the situation of so called “free study”.

W 1926 r. i w 1930 r. Koło Naukowe Matematyków i Fizyków Studentów Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego opublikowało poradnik dla studentów pierwszego roku matematyki. Są to teksty, które pomagały pierwszoroczniakom w racjonalnym skonstruowaniu planu i toku ich studiów w warunkach tzw. „wolnego stadium”.
