In this article they will be presented structures of the flow performing in simultaneous co - current and counter - current two phase gas - liquid flow in vertical channel. Structures were determined at the application of changes of levels of grey and function of density of the probability.

The aim of this work is an experimental analysis of velocity of two phase flow and irregularity of flow in parallel collaborating channel on entire length of conduit. The experimental work was conducted with the aid of digital image processing. Cross correlation function was the basic parameter for process course and allowed for estimation of velocity of two phase flow.

The paper contains the use of Digital Particle Image Velocimetry for describing limit velocity in bubble and plug flow. Moreover in the article development of air-bubble model was proposed. This model make describing of plug structure evolution possible.
