Selected performance indices for assessment of polypropylene susceptibility to dyeing by pigments of different UV resistance

This study presents an assessment of the effects of usage time for polypropylene (PP) experimental samples including those dyed with pigments of different UV resistance. A standard double cavity mold was used to create the samples by injection molding. Selected indices were analyzed in terms of color change (UV resistance of pigments), and UV radiation resistance of a PP polymer medium. The experiment revealed a significant impact of the accepted usage time and the type of dye concentrates on the indices characterizing the sample color change (CIELab) and a change in the structure and state of the PP medium surface.

Oceniono wpływ czasu użytkowania próbek PP, w tym barwionych pigmentami o różnej odporności na UV, na wybrane wskaźniki użytkowe. Próbki doświadczalne wytworzono metodą wtryskiwania z zastosowaniem standardowej dwugniazdowej formy badawczej. Analizę wybranych wskaźników barwionych próbek przeprowadzono na podstawie: wyznaczonej zmiany barwy (odporność na UV pigmentów), a także odporności na promieniowanie UV nośnika polimerowego (PP). Wykazano istotny wpływ przyjętego w programie badań czasu użytkowania oraz rodzaju koncentratów barwiących na wartości wskaźników charakteryzujących barwę próbek (CIELab), a także strukturę i stan powierzchni tworzywa użytego jako nośnik (PP).

The developed design methodologies both the material and technological ones will make it possible to improve shortly the quality of materials from the light alloys in the technological process, and the automatic process flow correction will make the production cost reduction possible, and - first of all - to reduce the amount of the waste products. In the metal casting industry, an improvement of component quality depends mainly on better control over the production parameters. Castings were analysed in the paper of car engine blocks and heads from the Al-Si-Cu alloys of the AC-AlSi7Cu3Mg type fabricated with the "Cosworth" technological process. In this work the AC-AlSi7Cu3Mg alloy structure was investigated, of this alloy samples were cut of for structure analysis of the cylinder part as well of crankshaft of a fuel engine. The investigation shows a difference in the (phase) structure morphology as a result of cast cooling rate.

In our work is presents evaluation of influence padding weld structures on the intensity of wear in diffrent soil conditions.On base of researches, we affirmed that the intensity of wear in soils, depends first of all on the amount and placing of primary carbides and eutectic mixture along the intersection. Hardness of the used materials does not have significant influences on the course and intensity of wear in soil.

W pracy przedstawiono ocenę wpływu struktury tworzywa na intensywność zużywania w zróżnicowanych warunkach glebowych.Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań stwierdzono, że o intensywności zuzywania decyduje przde wszystkim udział i rozmieszczenie na przekroju węglików pierwotnych oraz eutektyki. Twardość tworzywa nie wywiera istotnego wpływu na przebieg i intensywność zuzywania w glebie.
