Introduction/background: The paper has considerable cognitive value for the increase of knowledge in one of the areas of structural transformations in agriculture and rural regions, namely in tendencies regarding the varying number of farms and the size of utilised agricultural areas. Aim of the paper: The purpose of this paper is a synthetic evaluation of selected aspects of structural transformations observed in agriculture in Świętokrzyskie Province in the period 2005-2018. Materials and methods: The study was conducted in a number of poviats, for which original 20 data were presented as regards agriculture and farming in Świętokrzyskie Province, in the dynamic perspective, for the period 2005-2018. The actual data were obtained from the the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture in Poland. The paper uses the basic measurements applicable in statistical analysis, dynamic analysis and cause-and-effect analysis. Results and conclusions: Based on the conducted study, it was found that the area of farms was reduced by 2.53% in 2005-2018 in Świętokrzyskie Province; the largest reduction was observed in the following poviats: Skarżysko (15.93%) and Kielce (13.3%); However, much more serious changes were noted in the number of farms. These changes were observed in all poviats, and the reduction in the number of farms was 56.1% across the whole region. In 2005-2018, there was a marked increase in the average size of an individual farm, from 2.8 ha to 6.1 ha, which may be seen as a major change as compared to previous tendencies in the agrarian structure of farms in Poland.

A direct influence on the physical and mechanical state of the surface layer of wedge-shaped plates made of 8KHF steel is exerted by heat generation processes developing in the zone of a high-speed thermal process. Research on the influence of the parameters of a high-speed thermal process on the change in the structure of 8KHF steel (GOST 5950-2000 Russia, standard PN/H 85023 brand NCV1 Poland) was fulfilled. It allowed studying the nature of the change in the microstructure depending on short-term heating to various temperatures and rapid cooling. As a result, critical points of the beginning and the end of structural transformations during heating were determined. Research on thermal processes in a high-speed thermal process made it possible to establish regularities of influence of cutting speed, source speed, contact area, coolant properties and heat transfer coefficient on the temperature and rate of thermal processes in surface layers, as well as their impact on the depth of heating to a certain temperature. The study also allowed us to show the relationship between temperature and rates of heating and cooling. The solution to this problem, taking into account the action of the cooling fluid, gives the opportunity to bring the picture of the development of thermal processes closer to real conditions and makes it possible to reasonably predict the structural state of the surface layer of wedge-shaped parts made of 8KHF steel under various conditions of a high-speed thermal process.

Metallographic studies performed on a cross-section of static steel ingot allow the observation of the following morphological zones: a) columnar grains (treated as austenite single crystals), b) zone of the columnar into equiaxed grains transformation (CET), and c) equiaxed grains at the ingot axis. These zones are reproduced theoretically by the numerical simulation. The simulation is based on the calculation of both the temperature field in a solidifying large steel ingot and the thermal gradient field obtained for the same boundary conditions. In particular, a new, innovative method based on the mathematical treatment applied to different functions resulting from both the aforementioned fields, are used in the structural predictions. The method developed, firstly for the massive steel ingot, has subsequently been applied to theoretically predict the structural zones in continuously cast brass ingots. In the case of continuously cast brass ingots three different morphologies were revealed experimentally: a) columnar structures, b) equiaxed structures preceded by the CET (sharp transition), and c) single crystals situated axially. The above model for the structural zones prediction is useful in plastic deformation design for: a) steel forging ingots assigned for the crankshafts applied to the ship engines, and b) continuously cast brass ingots assigned for special applications in the shipbuilding industry.

W opracowaniu przedstawiono stan obecny i perspektywiczny rozwoju obszarów wiejskich oraz zaproponowano niezbędne przedsięwzięcia. Analizą objęto następujące zagadnienia: system zabudowy wsi, sytuację demograficzną, wielkość gospodarstw rolnych, stan rozłogu gruntów, transformację użytkowania gruntów oraz melioracje wodne i przeciwerozyjne. Jako działania niezbędne dla prawidłowego ich rozwoju uznano m. in.: kilkakrotne zwiększenie tempa prac scaleniowych realizowanych kompleksowo oraz opracowanie i wdrożenie programu osadnictwa na obszary o bardzo słabym zaludnieniu.

This paper presents today and future of rural areas development, with proposals of appropriate undertakings. The analysis covers: rural buildings, demographic state, size of farms, ground layout, land utilization transformations, water and antierosion meliorations. It has been ascertained, that the most essential undertakings for rural areas development are: speed up of land consolidation, elaboration and application of program of non populated areas colonization.

In the paper the main trends and directions of the development of enterprises in the areas of their strategy, structure and functioning have been presented. Changes have been referred generally to the basic directions of their historical development. Particularly, the importance of information and computer science technologies as well as computer networks in the process of shaping the behavior of contemporary enterprises has been taking into account. The fundamental determinants of their construction and functioning have been indicated, as well as the conceptions of transformations of the enterprises.

W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań wpływu czasu i temperatury homogenizacji na strukturę stopów na bazie fazy międzymetalicznej Ni3Al, z dodatkami stopowymi boru, cyrkonu, chromu i molibdenu. Rejestrowano zmiany strukturalne pod wpływem procesu homogenizacji w temperaturze 1000°C lub 1200°C, w czasie do 100 godzin w atmosferze powietrza lub argonu. Stwierdzono istotny wpływ składu chemicznego na przebieg procesu ujednoradniania i niwelowania wielofazowości struktury występującej w stanie lanym. Odnotowano także, w ujęciu ilościowym, istotne zmiany udziału powierzchniowego i mikrotwardości poszczególnych faz w miarę przyrostu czasu homogenizacji.

The study results are presented on the influence of homogenization duration and temperature on the structure of Ni3Al inter-metallic phase based alloys, with alloy additions of boron, zirconium, chromium and molybdenum. The structural variation were recorded resulted by homogenization at temperature of 1000°C or 1200°C during 100 hours at the air or argon atmosphere. Substantial influence was found of chemical content on the course of homogeneity and liquidation of structural multiphase occurring in the cast state. It was also found, in the quantitative aspect, the substantial variation of surface share and microhardeness of each phase with the homogenization time.
