Kształtowanie węzłów konstrukcyjnych w maszynach górnictwa odkrywkowego jest zagadnieniem złożonym ze względu zarówno na charakter pracy danej maszyny, jak i jej gabaryty. W omawianym artykule skupiono się na pokazaniu głównych problemów powstałych podczas projektowania nadwozia w nowo budowanej koparce łańcuchowej. Złożoność problemów w tym przypadku wynikała z przyjętych wymagań, co do możliwości eksploatacyjnej koparki. Scharakteryzowano analizowany obiekt, pokazano przykładowe węzły konstrukcyjne i zastosowane w nich modyfikacje oraz omówiono otrzymane wyniki obliczeń wytrzymałościowych.

The design of the construction nodes in open-cast mining machines is a complicated matter due to the nature of the operation and the dimensions of this type of machines. This paper focuses on the problems that have arisen during the process of the designing of a new bucket chain excavator body. The complexity of the issue derives from the specific operating requirements of the analyzed type of an excavator. The authors briefly characterized the object of the study, showed the exemplary construction nodes and introduced modifications and finally they presented and discussed the results obtained from the strength calculations.

Taking into account the principle that the triangle is the only polygon that does not deform when a force is applied, we designed a structural node, based on the geometry of the tetrahedron, to generate through the resources and elements of descriptive geometry, spatial structures using CAD applications and rapid prototyping.

Z uwagi na fakt, że trójkąt jest jedynym wielokątem, który nie odkształca się, gdy działa siła, na bazie czworościanu zaprojektowano strukturę kolankową do generowania struktur przestrzennych używając metod geometrii wykreślnej, narzędzi CAD i szybkiego prototypowania.
