In this paper we consider a sufficient condition for furiction to be a-starlike function, when α ∈ [0, 1/2]. We use it for certain subclass of strongly starlike functions defined by a geometric condition. We take advantage of the techniąues of differential subordinations.
In his work [4] Silverman investigated the properties of function defined in terms of the quotient of the analytic representations of convex and starlike functions. We give some better and new related results.
For fix 0 < alpha <, 1, denote by S* (alpha) the class of all strongly starlike functions of order a. We present an internal geometric characterization of functions in the classes S* (alpha).
