W artykule zaprezentowano analizę zużycia stali na konstrukcję typowej hali magazynowej o wymiarach 48 x 40 m. Przeanalizowano 13 różnych układów konstrukcyjnych, w których różnicowano schemat statyczny konstrukcji, stosując płatwie kratowe i gorącowalcowane uciąglone oraz dźwigary kratowe, pełnościenne i dźwigary o falistym środniku. Wykazano różnice w całkowitym zużyciu stali, wskazano optymalne rozwiązanie oraz elementy konstrukcyjne mające największy wpływ na całkowitą masę konstrukcji.

The article presents an analysis of steel consumption for the structure of a typical storage hall with dimensions of 48 x 40 m. Thirteen different structural systems were analyzed, in which the static scheme of the structure was differentiated, using lattice and hot-rolled continuous purlins as well as lattice girders, plate girders and girders with a corrugated web. Differences have been shown in the total consumption of steel, the optimal solution and structural elements having the greatest impact on the total weight of the structure were indicated.

W artykule opisano, jaki wpływ miały błędy powstałe w procesie budowlanym, w szczególności na etapie projektowania obiektu halowego, na nośność i użytkowanie konstrukcji. W opisywanym obiekcie, w okresie zimowym, nastąpiło zawalenie jednej z naw hali magazynowej. Przeprowadzono analizę dostarczonej dokumentacji projektowej obiektu, wykonano badania oraz pomiary inwetaryzacyjne istniejącej konstrukcji. Porównano je z dostarczoną dokumentacją. Na tej podstawie wykonano analizę statyczno-wytrzymałościową elementów i połączeń, umożliwiającą dokonanie wymaganej oceny konstrukcji i sformułowanie wniosków końcowych.

The article describes the state of failure of a building for storing material to produce ceramic building elements. The hall belongs to the biggest brickyard in the Podkarpacie Region. The failure occurred in May 2008. Its direct cause was a sudden increase in the pressure exerted by a dump of clay stored directly at the retaining wall of the building. Due to its excessive height and faulty construction the dump lost stability and overloading the structure of the storage hall and consequently causing excessive deformation and damage to its structural and finishing elements. The article presents the extent of the damage, the results of the strength-static analysis and the suggested necessary amount of work to restore the building to its former use.
