The efficiency of evolutionary optimization of magnetic properties of ternary alloy

The area of magnetism offers a wealth of possibilities to study different algorithmic approaches. The reason is the diversity of different forms which can be used to describe magnetic samples. One can start from the most simple Ising-like system which, being of physical origin, became an inspiration for many models in a various areas of science and the formulation of which fits ideally the earliest representations of genetic algorithms. The recent problems concern elaborate molecular structures, like eg. spin glasses where the character of interaction between the spins of the same type may be different depending on some random variable or mixed alloys which can have different stoichiometry or structure and therefore present visibly distinct magnetic characteristics. In this paper we will deal with the mixed magnetic ternary alloy - an analog of prussian blue. Some results concerning the physical conclusions coming from applying the evolutionary computation to analyse this material have already been published and here the attention will be paid to the influence of parameter change on the efficiency of procedure.

Praca przedstawia analizę czynników determinujących rodzaj eutektyki podwójnej AI-Al_{2}Cu w potrójnym stopie AI-Cu-Ag. Czynniki jakie były analizowane to: entropia rozpuszczania faz eutektycznych, ułamek objętościowy danej fazy eutektycznej, prędkość wzrostu i gradient temperatury.

In this paper it was shown the influence of the parameters such as: entropy of fusion, volume fraction, velocity of the unidirectional solidification on the lamellar eutectic obtained during unidirectional solidification. It was shown that all known parameters allow us to classify obtained eutectic into regular lamellar eutectic what was proven during the microscopy observations shown on the figure 1. There is also shown the disturbances occurred during increasing the velocity of the unidirectional solidification - shown on the figure 2. It can be estimated that this disturbances are occurred by evolution of the lamellar structure into the rod eutectic, or even loosing the regularity of the structure.

W pracy przedstawiono wyniki pomiarów odległości międzypłytkowej [alfa] eutektyki w potrójnym stopie AI-Ag-Cu w zależności od zmiany prędkości wzrostu eutektyki podczas procesu krystalizacji kierunkowej. Dokonane pomiary potwierdzają prawo wzrostu eutektyki regularnej [alfa]^2 x V=const.

In this paper it was shown the measurements results of the spacing between eutectic lamellae [alfa] in the ternary AI-Ag-Cu alloy according to changes of the velocity of the unidirectional solidification. Results show that the eutectic growth law [alfa]^2xV=const. is true.
