Praca dotyczy eksperymentalnej weryfikacji możliwości zastosowania pomiarów rotacji osi belki w celu monitorowania zmian jej sztywności. Aby obliczać zmiany sztywności belki na podstawie obserwacji jej drgań wykorzystano metody optymalizacyjne, a w szczególności algorytmy genetyczne i lokalną minimalizację Levenberga Margquardta. Wyniki pomiarów potwierdziły zwiększoną efektywność pomiarów prędkości rotacji osi belki względem tradycyjnych metod wykorzystujących pomiary przyspieszeń translacyjnych.

The paper presents preliminary results of experimental evaluation of the effectiveness of measuring rotations of beam axes in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM), in particular in “reconstructing” distributions of stiffness changes by measuring their harmonic vibrations. The experiment on small plexi models proved particular effectiveness of measuring rotation rates over classic translational acceleration amplitudes. Such methods of SHM, aiming at reconstructing stiffness distributions is particularly needed for some civil engineering structures for which the localized damage is difficult to define (e.g. reinforced concrete beams and frames or masonry structures).
