W artykule omówiono metody badań rozprzestrzeniania ognia po fasadach stosowane w wybranych krajach Europy, a także metody badań proponowane w ramach EOTA i ISO. Przedstawiono również wymagania dotyczące rozprzestrzeniania ognia w tych krajach.

The paper presents methods of fire spread testing used in selected European countries and also proposed by European Organisation for Technical Approvals (EOTA) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Also requirements according fire spread on facades in these countries are presented.

Determination of elastic-plastic properties using reverse FEA of ball indentation test

We proposed an improved technique to determine the plastic properties of material from the load-displacement curve from ball indentation test. The reverse finite element method was used for simulation of indentation test. This technique has been successfully applied on several carbon steel specimens and for all these test materials the reverse analysis results were found to agree with the data from conventional standard test method. This nondestructive assessment of deformation behavior has good potential for the other materials.
