Concrete strength in the structure is not uniform in the entire section, especially if it concerns layers in the form of ceiling slabs, concrete floors. Due to availability of structures for testing, heterogeneity of concrete resulting not from random causes but from the method of forming or compacting cannot be ignored in tests. Ceilings are usually accessible from the bottom and floors from the top, sandwich walls produced in vertical position are easily accessible only from one side etc. The article presents examples of differentiated concrete strength determined experimentally in various zones of ceiling slabs, floors made of ordinary concrete. It includes also the principles of procedures in order to avoid big mistakes in determination of concrete strength, as well as a special method of testing structures when an answer to the question about class of the produced concrete is sought.
