The article presents the results of the experimental investigation on a bearing with a spiral groove cut on the journal. The presented research results review the theoretical research conducted previously. The results of the investigation on a bearing with a spiral groove on the journal (load capacity, oil temperature, and oil flow rate) were compared with those obtained for a standard bearing with a plain journal. The effect confirmed the previous computer simulation results, which indicated that a groove of appropriate dimensions on the journal intensifies axial oil flow and does not impair load capacity.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań eksperymentalnych łożyska ślizgowego ze śrubowym rowkiem na czopie. Była to kontynuacja wcześniej wykonanych badań teoretycznych. Wyniki badań łożyska z czopem ze śrubowym rowkiem (nośność, temperatura filmu olejowego, wydatek oleju) zostały porównane z wynikami badań klasycznego łożyska ślizgowego. Potwierdzono wyniki wcześniejszych symulacji komputerowych i wykazano, że śrubowy rowek na czopie poprzecznego łożyska ślizgowego, przy odpowiednio dobranych wymiarach, powoduje intensyfikację osiowego przepływu oleju i nie skutkuje zmniejszeniem nośności.

The quality and accuracy of forming of rolling nut's spital groove in many respects is determined by speed of allowance deleting. As a result of the conducted researches is established that this major parameter changes both on coordinate emery-wheel forming surface and depending on pass numbers. Generally this parameter can't be calculated on analytical relations, that causes necessity the usage of the numerical calculation methods. The solution algorithm of problem put by is designed and allows to receive the forecast of the actually machining screw surfaces by the algebraic operations with arrays of the discrete geometrical models of blank and emery-wheel surfaces.
