Przedmiotem artykułu jest analiza technicznych i technologicznych problemów laserowego spawania wzdłużnego w zastosowaniu do wytwarzania rur ze stali wysokostopowych i stopów niklu i chromu. Zidentyfikowano wymagania w stosunku do wsadu i procesów formowania rury szczelinowej oraz technik sterowania promieniem lasera. Prezentowane są wnioski w odniesieniu do przedsięwzięć inwestycyjnych.

The paper deals with analysis of longitudinal laser welding applied to production of tubes; analysis of requirements concerning feedstock and unitary processes in the technological line, techniques, laser beam control. Large diameters and thin walls of tubes always cause difficulties when we want to get a guaranteed joint applying conventional welding technologies. The goods made with conventional methods usually are defective because of a large area of heat influence and external as well as internal flash, and internal flash and weld penetration visible on the surface in case of, for instance, plasma-arc welding. Introduction of laser welding will radically resolve the above described problems. Application of laser guarantees small width of the weld and small area of heat influence, high quality of the weld, small amount of oxides and contamination, no porosity, tightness of the tube, small flash, possibility of carrying out the process in protective atmospheres, welding of materials which are difficult to connect with other methods. Further, laser welding facilitates process automation. The undertaking refers to implementing production based on laser welding of thin-wall tubes made of austenitic and ferritic alloy steel, nickel and chromium alloys. The system will consist of strip preparation and slit tube forming systems which will guarantee changes in rollers calibration, adjustments of slit tube edge guiding, laser welding system, laser beam control system, cooling system and feeding of protective atmosphere, as well as tube cutting system. We anticipate production of tubes with 12-60 mm diameters and 1-2 mm thick wall made of austenitic and ferritic high alloy steel, nickel and chromium alloys, and later of other alloys. This undertaking will result in marketing of new, highly processed products, which have not been produced in Poland yet. New groups of consumers and new needs will be initiated which will lead to development of new technologies connected with further processing and used of the highest standard products.
