This paper presents the results of research of the flow across inter-tubular space of a fluidal heat exchanger and a model small power fluidal boiler burning energetic grain. The assessment of flow applies videogrammetry and DPIV methods. The results gained were subsequently subjected to an analysis, which determined the boundaries of the development of the specific flow regimes in such a fluidal apparatus. This enabled the author to define the vectors for the local velocities of particles in the inter-tubular space. The result took the form of a modification in the air supply to afterburner in a projected small power fluidal boiler designed to burn energetic grain.
