W pracy dokonano analizy zmian użytkowania zlewni Ciemnej (Trzemnej), w okresie około stu lat. Dominującą formą użytkowania terenu w obu przekrojach czasowych (koniec XIX i koniec XX wieku) były użytki rolnicze. Sytuacja ta jest typowa dla większości małych rzek położonych na obszarze Wielkopolski i Kujaw, a jest konsekwencja wielowiekowych wylesień na tych terenach. Poszczególne formy użytkowania terenu sukcesywnie zmieniały swój udział w ogólnej powierzchni zlewni co było konsekwencją rozwoju cywilizacyjnego. Odmienny charakter miały zmiany elementów hydrograficznych, gdzie na przełomie lat ’60 i ’70 XX wieku w krótkim czasie powstał sztuczny zbiornik retencyjny zmieniający całkowicie dotychczasowe warunki hydrologiczne.

This work presents an analysis of the changes in the use of the Ciemna (Trzemna) river basin during a period of about a hundred years. The primary use of the area in both time periods ( the end of the 19th century and the end of the 20th century) was the agricultural one. This is typical of the majority of small rivers in the region of Wielkopolska and Kujawy, and it resulted from centuries- long deforestation in these areas. Specific uses of the area gradually changed its share in the general area of the basin, which was an effect of civilisation development. The changes of hydrographic elements were of a different nature : at the turn of 1960s and 1970s a retention reservoir was built, which completety changed the foregoing hydrological conditions.

Geology and palynology of Vistulian Glaciation deposits in closed basins near Jutrosin (southern Wielkopolska), Poland

Several closed, infilled basins dating from the last glaciation were found near Jutrosin in southern Wielkopolska. The Nadstawem is site located 1.5 km south-east from the centre of Jutrosin. The basins are located within end morainic hills which date back to the Wartanian Glaciation. The deposits comprise clay and sand with frost structures interbedded with till, overlain by sand and silt with three organic beds. Palynological studies have enabled reconstruction of the plant communities. radiocarbon dating indicated about 38 700 BP for the lower organic bed without sporomorphs and ca. 29 000 BP for the upper two ones with a rich pollen spectrum. Hence, organic sedimentation ranged from the Hengelo Interstadial to the Denekamp Interstadial.

Analiza składu petrograficznego dwóch facji litologicznych: gliny bazalnej typu lodgement oraz glacjotektonitów, pozwoliła na stwierdzenie dwóch różnych kierunków nasunięć lądolodu w południowej części Niziny Wielkopolskiej. Czerwonobrązowa glina ma stosunkowo dużo eratyków przewodnich z Wysp Alandzkich, którym towarzyszą liczne żwiry wapienne, pochodzące ze wschodniej części depresji Bałtyku oraz dewońskie dolomity o podobnej proweniencji. Spektrum petrograficzne reprezentuje więc ENE kierunek transgresji lądolodu.Lądolód zlodowacenia vistulian docierał do linii Włoszakowic z kierunku NNE, który został zapisany poprzez stosunkowo liczne eratyki przewodnie z Dalarny i inne eratyki wskaźnikowe ze strefy Svekokarelidow w południowej Szwecji. Więcej jest wapieni paleozoicznych i piaskowców, które mają swoje wychodnie w środkowym Bałtyku. Główny kierunek transgresji lądolodu z północy znajduje potwierdzenie w niewielkiej liczbie dolomitów dewońskich.

The petrographical analyses in gravel and stone fractions of basal till point to two different ice-advance directions to the southern flanks of the Wielkopolska Lowland. The red-brown till consists of relatively many indicator erratics from Aland Islands, which are accompanied by many calcarous pebbles from the eastern part of the Baltic depression as well by Devonian dolomites. The petrographical spectrum stands for ENE advance. The next, Vistulian glacier advanced to Włoszakowice from NNE direction, which is recorded by relatively numerous indicator erratics from Dalarna and many so called statistical erratics from the Svecokarelian province in south Sweden. There are again more Palaeozoic limestones and sandstones, which have their outcrops in the middle Baltic Sea. The eastern direction is weakened by scarse number of Devonian dolomites.
