Purpose: The main goal of this article is to present the dropship model to consider it’s advantages and disadvantages and find out, is it accurate way to develop business in short time under some uncertainty. Design/methodology/approach: Most important problems and critical success factors of dropshipping model, and then assessing their mutual influence on each other were discussed. Costs that a start-up company running it’s business must incur were analyzed. In order to convince what kind of effects the online store may expect, simulations of requirements and costs on dropshipping platforms were conducted. Findings: Dropshipping business model is quite risky and should not be treated as a panacea in times of crisis. Online stores, if they think about significant profits, must focus on finding their niche, building responsive websites and rely on a solid information system. Originality/value: Simulation of costs of dropshipping business model under some uncertainty can be really helpful to start-up company running it’s business.

The article was created thanks to participation in program PROM of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange. The program is co-financed from the European Social Fund within the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development, non-competitive project entitled “International scholarship exchange of PhD students and academic staff” executed under the Activity 3.3 specified in the application for funding of project No. POWR.03.03.00-00-PN13/18. Purpose: The main goal of the article is to present quality management tools that help solve problems in the functioning hoshin kanri system. Design/methodology/approach: In this article described practical aspects of quality focusing on solving problems in foundation system of hoshin kanri. Operation of this system means a systematic process of planning and achieving long-term goals, by developing organization's strategy for all its departments and units. In addition, the article discusses analytical research in relation to Toyota Motor Corporation. This analysis included evaluation of the most popular quality tools for solving problems such as DMAIC, 8D, A3, 5-Why and Ishikawa diagram. Findings: The case study presented in the article showed that the most applicable and useful is A3 Report but it is possible to use 8D and 5-Why however, the results are less useful than in the case of previous ones. Originality/value: The results of the considerations are very useful for small and large companies. The application of the presented method in article is mainly for better strategic planning and as a tool in quality management systems and management of complex projects.

W artykule przedstawiono praktyczne wykorzystanie dwóch narzędzi koncepcji World Class Manufacturing – WCM, tj. karty S-Tag oraz arkusza Quick Kaizen do rozwiązanie problemu związanego z bezpieczeństwem pracy – możliwość urazu nogi operatora podczas pracy na paletyzatorze. W pierwszej kolejności podjęto się analizy zagadnienia związanego z rozwiązywaniem problemów – generalnie. Następnie scharakteryzowano dwa narzędzia WCM-u, tj. kartę S-Tag i arkusz Quick Kaizen pod względem ich zastosowania, konstrukcji, podano przykład funkcjonujących formularzy, które następnie zastosowano do analizy wybranego problemu związanego z bezpieczeństwem pracy. W wyniku zastosowania tych narzędzi WCM-u udało się zidentyfikować problem związany z bezpieczeństwem, zaproponować jego rozwiązanie, wdrożyć je oraz potwierdzić skuteczność jego funkcjonowania. Przedstawiony artykuł potwierdza, że te dwa wybrane narzędzia WCM-u tj. karta S-Tag i arkusz Quick Kaizen mogą być skutecznie stosowane razem przy identyfikacji i rozwiązywaniu problemów w obszarze BHP.

The article presents the practical use of two World Class Manufacturing tools - WCM, ie S-Tag and Quick Kaizen sheet to solve the problem related to work safety - the possibility of operator's leg injury while working on a palletiser. First of all, the analysis of the problem related to solving problems was made - generally. Then, two WCM tools, i.e. the S-Tag tab and the Quick Kaizen sheet were characterized in terms of their application, construction, an example of functioning forms were given, which were then used to analyze a selected problem related to work safety. As a result of the use of WCM tools, it was possible to identify a safety problem, propose its solution, implement it and confirm its effectiveness. The presented article confirms that the two selected WCM tools, i.e. S-Tag and Quick Kaizen, can be effectively used together to identify and solve problems in the area of health and safety.

The main aim of this article is to describe and diagnose inhibitions and difficulties to creative solving problems. It presents how it is difficult to solve problems in individual work. There are different kind of inhibitions like: lack of belief in their own abilities, attitude towards the problem and its solution, difficulties associated with motivation and commitment.
