The mutual solubility of KHCO3 and NH4HCO3 in water have been determined between 293 K and 323 K. On the basis of these results a polytherm section (in mole per 1000 g H2O) for the KHCO3+ NH4HCO3+ H2O system has been drawn. These data are essential for the assessment of a new, non - waste production method of potassium carbonate.

The mutual salts solubility in the NH4C1 + NaVO3+ NH4VO3 + NaCl + H2O system at 313K was measured using the isothermal solution saturation method. The results were used to plot the solubility isotherm presented in the oblique projection on plane according to Janecke's. A thorough knowledge of the isotherm course is essential to design an alternative method of the utilization of the post-filtration liquor generated from the filtration of NaHCO3 in the Solvay's process.
