Simulation of the IT Service and Project Management Environment

The authors of this paper present a simulation of the socio-technical system in which teams of students - regarded as low-maturity organizations - were given a task to utilize the (relatively) mature technologies that support IT project and service management. The experiment consisted of the following phases: teams formation, introduction to technologies used during the simulation, performing a set of reactive and proactive service management tasks.

W artykule zaprezentowano symulację systemu społeczno-technicznego, w którym zespołom złożonym ze studentów - traktowanym jako organizacje o niskiej dojrzałości - powierzono zadanie wykorzystania stosunkowo dojrzałych technologii wspierających zarządzanie przedsięwzięciami i usługami informatycznymi. Na eksperyment składały się następujące etapy: sformowanie zespołów, wdrożenie ich w technologie użyte w symulacji, wykonanie zestawu działań reaktywnych i proaktywnych z zakresu zarządzania usługami.

The article presents the possibility of using computer games to train managers of IT projects. Described the ideas of the production of games, the realization of the objectives and characteristics. The conception of the possible development of simulation game focused on mapping tasks the project manager. The paper presents a prototype simulation game that allows IT project management training in different scenarios and different methodologies.

W artykule rozważa się zagadnienie strojenia modelu rozmytego zarządzania przedsięwzięciami informatycznymi, wskazując na metody, które zapewniają wysoką dokładność otrzymywanych wyników, przy możliwie niedużym nakładzie obliczeń. W pierwszej kolejności stosuje się podejścia, które wynikają z intuicji i doświadczenia autorów, oparte na twardej metodzie jednowymiarowej klasteryzacji K-means z wykorzystaniem trójkątnego kształtu funkcji przynależności, operatorów MAX i MIN wykorzystywanych w procesach wnioskowania oraz metody Wysokości w procesie wyostrzania. Następnie rozważa się możliwość zastosowania rozmytej wersji jednowymiarowej klasteryzacji K-means do wyznaczenia parametrów funkcji przynależności. W pracy zamieszcza się jakże odpowiednie studium porównawcze (metoda twarda - metoda rozmyta). Rozważa się również inne metody rozmywania wielkości wejściowych, zastępując trójkątną funkcję przynależności funkcjami: trapezową i harmoniczną. Następnie rozważa się skuteczność operatora PROD (zamiast operatora MIN) w mechanizmie wnioskowania. Z kolei w procesie wyostrzania zamiast metody wysokości stosuje się metody: pierwszego maksimum, środka maksimum, środka ciężkości i wysokości.

The article presents methods of tuning fuzzy models of software project management systems and suggests those whose can ensure a highest precession of the results in shortest possible calculation time. As a first choice, the authors exploit an approach, resulting from their intuition and experience, which is based on the hard method of one-dimensional clusterization K-means with the use of the triangular membership function, the MAX and MIN operators, and the height method (in a process of defuzzication). Next, the possibility of using a fuzzy form of the K-means clustering method for fixing the parameters of the membership functions is considered. Moreover, a comparative analysis of the hard and fuzzy methods is given, and other methods of fuzzifying the input data are presented, where the triangular membership functions are replaced by trapezoid and harmonic functions. Furthermore, the PROD operator is confronted with the MIN one in the inference mechanism, and instead of the height methods three other methods (first maximum, center of gravity and height) are considered in the process of defuzzification.
