The paper presents research results which aimed at evaluation of the change in the sodding degree and selected strength parameters of sod used with varied intensity; additionally sod was modified through administration of biopreparation. Measurements were taken on two types of sod. The first one was formed from perennial rye grass, the second one from orchard grass. It was proved that the use of the investigated facilities resulted in reduction of sodding, which was related to the sod forming species. No impact of biopreparation use on the sodding degree was proved. Intensive use affected the increase of the value of the analysed strength parameters; at low soil moisture (5.0-5.5%) considerable compaction in the surface layer of soil was reported.

W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań, których celem była ocena zmian stopnia zadarnienia oraz wybranych parametrów wytrzymałościowych darni użytkowanej z różną intensywnością, dodatkowo darń modyfikowano poprzez podanie biopreparatu. Pomiary wykonano na dwóch rodzajach darni, z których pierwsza darń utworzona była z życicy trwałej, druga z kupkówki pospolitej. Wykazano, że użytkowanie badanych obiektów skutkowało spadkiem ich zadarnienia, które było ściśle związane z gatunkiem tworzącym darń. Nie wykazano wpływu stosowania biopreparatu na stopień zadarnienia. Intensywne użytkowanie wpływało na zwiększenie wartości analizowanych parametrów wytrzymałościowych, przy niskiej wilgotności gleby (5,0-5,5%) zauważono znaczne zagęszczenie w wierzchniej warstwie gleby.

In 2012–2013, a study was conducted, consisting in a bonitation analysis of turf on the City Stadium which is located in the north-west part of Wroclaw and was a sport arena of the European Championships Euro 2012. The experiment was made with the complete randomisation method for 2 factors, on 5 dates in the growing season. On the turf of the pitch 12 points were selected, and at each of them an evaluation of utility features was performed, in 4 replications, on surface area of 1 m2. Based on the observation of the condition of the turf, during subsequent analyses it was found how the selection of the mixture of grasses, intensity of use and pratotechnic treatments affect the bonitation quality of sport turfgrass. The results are shown in relation to the whole object, separating each of the features under analysis.

Doświadczenia dwuczynnikowe założono wiosną 2004 roku w układzie Split-splot, na poletkach o powierzchni 6 m2 w trzech replikacjach. Osad komunalny i kompost stosowano doglebowo jesienią (20 t ha-1) pod orkę zimową. Do oceny wartości nawozowej osadu i kompostu wykorzystano cztery mieszanki trawnikowe typu: Festuca arundinacea, Festuca rubra, Lolium perenne i Poa pratensis. Na badanych trawnikach dokonano oceny zadarnienia i aspektu ogólnego trawnika wg metody Prończuka (1993) oraz składu florystycznego runi metodą botaniczno-wagową. W badanych warunkach siedliskowych trawniki obsiane mieszanką typu Poa pratensis charakteryzowały się lepszymi ocenianymi parametrami (zadarnieniem, aspektem ogólnym oraz składem florystycznym) niż trawniki obsiane mieszanką typu: Festuca rubra, Festuca arundinacea, a zwłaszcza Lolium perenne.

Two-factor experiment was assumed in spring 2004 in the Split-splot system on plots with an area of 6 m2 in three replications. Sewage sludge and compost applied to soil in autumn in amound of 20 t ha-1, for the winter plowing. To evaluate the fertilizer value of sewage sludge and compost used four lawn mixture: Festuca arundinacea (Festuca arundinacea var. "Asterix" - 60% + Festuca rubra var. "Areta" - 15% + Lolium perenne var. "Pimperal" - 10% + Poa pratensis var. "Opal" - 15%), Festuca rubra (Festuca rubra var. "Areta" - 60% + Lolium perenne var. "Pimperal" - 20% + Poa pratensis var. "Opal" - 20%), Lolium perenne (Lolium perenne var. "Pimperal" - 60% + Festuca rubra var. "Areta" - 20% + Poa pratensis var. [...]. On the tested lawns the sodding and general aspect of the lawn were assessed by the Prończuk [1993] method. Also the floristic composition of the sward was assessed using the botanical-weight method. In the studied habitat conditions lawns which were seeded by the lawn mixture called: Poa pratensis was characterized by the higher parameters (sodding, the general aspect and the floristic composition) than lawns seeded with a mixture called: Festuca rubra, Festuca arundinacea, and particularly Lolium perenne.
