The authors of this article present issues concerning not only disability but also rehabilitation, which allows the disabled to become more independent. The principal aim of this article is to discuss the problem of the handicapped who have to face the world that is still non-adapted to their needs in terms of architecture. Hence, this paper is focused particularly on the role of designers creating the space surrounding the disabled who strive for returning to normal active life.

Szósty - po kilkuletniej przerwie - zeszyt z serii "Na wózku inwalidzkim po Infostradzie do Europy?" jest poświęcony związkom środowiska informatycznego i matematycznego z naszymi niepełnosprawnymi ruchowo kolegami, którzy pracowali, pracują lub starają się o pracę wspomaganą komputerem i Internetem. Podejmujemy inicjatywę nazwaną Forum Specjalistów, która ma integrować wysiłki i inspirować samoorganizację - konkretnie, bez pięknoduchostwa i pozorów, korzystając z możliwości jakie stwarza obecny rozwój informatyki. The sixth - after a few years' break - issue of the series "On a wheel-chair through World Wide Web to Europe?" is devoted to relationship of the computer science and mathematics community with our physically handicapped friends who worked, work or try to get a job in a computer and the Internet assisted environment. We are creating the initiative called Forum of Specialists with its main goal to integrate efforts and inspire the self-organization - in concrete terms, with no pretentious appearances, using the possibilities which the present development of the computer technology allows. Jest to trzeci zeszyt (po zeszytach nr 813 z października 1996 i nr 858 z maja 1998) w tworzonym przez działaczy Fundacji Pomocy Matematykom i Informatykom Niesprawnym Ruchowo (FPMiINR) cyklu 'Na wózku inwalidzkim ...'. Jak poprzednie, składa się z trzech części: Pierwsza i druga dotyczą rozwoju 'Internetu dla Niepełnosprawnych' (IdN-u) i rehabilitacji społecznej i zawodowej inwalidów ruchu, trzecia zawiera sprawozdanie FPMiINR z minionego roku.

This is the third booklet (the first appeared in October 1996 and the second in May 1998) written by the Foundation Supporting Physically Disabled Mathematicians, Computer Specialist and Programmers in a series entitled 'On a wheel-chair ...'. Like the previous ones the booklet is divided into three parts. The first and second deals with the development of Internet for the Physically Disabled (in Polish: Internet dla Niepełnosprawnych) and with the social and professional rehabilitation of the disabled. The third part is a report of the Foundation's last year activities.

Jest to drugi zeszyt w serii 'Na wózku inwalidzkim po infostradzie do Europy?', przygotowany przez grupę działaczy Fundacji Pomocy Matematykom i Informatykom Niesprawnym Ruchowo (FPMiINR). Zachowany został podział zeszytu na trzy części, jaki został wprowadzony w pierwszym zeszycie (wydanym w październiku 1996 w Pracach IPI PAN no 813). Część pierwsza niniejszego zeszytu jest poświęcona Internetowi dla Niepełnosprawnych - inicjatywie polskiego środowiska informatycznego o ogromnym znaczeniu. Część druga dotyczy rehabilitacji społecznej inwalildów w przyszłym 'społeczeństwie informacyjnym' w Unii Europejskiej i w Polsce. Część trzecia przedstawia działalność FPMiINR w 1997 (prowadzenie szkoleń komputerowych i warsztatów aktywizacji zawodowej, poszukiwanie zleceń informatycznych dla podopiecznych, akcja socjalna, Klub Poradnictwa i Pośrednictwa Pracy), informuje o finansach Fundacji i jej sytuacji na progu 1998 roku.

This is a second installment of the series 'On a wheel-chair through World Wide Web to Europe?' prepared by the group of the active members of the Foundation Supporting Physically Disabled Mathematicians, Computer Scientists and Programmes'. The installment was divided into 3 parts in the same ways as it was done in the first one, published in October 1996 by Institute of Computer Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In the first part of the current issue there is a description of the Internet for Disabled (IdN). It was enormously important initiative of the Polish computer specialists. The second part deals with a social rehabilitation of disabled in the future informatic society in the UE and in Poland. The third part is about Foundation activities such as training and workshops for professional stimulation, search for the computer applications commissions for persons under charge of Foundation, welfare, Vocational Guidance and Employment Agency.
