Urządzenie służące oddymianiu klatek schodowych w świetle krajowych przepisów stanowić powinny minimalne obowiązkowe wyposażeniem większości budynków wielokondygnacyjnych. Artykuł przedstawia definicję i charakterystykę projektowanych i wykonywanych systemów tego typu. Wskazane zostały tu ograniczenia powszechnie stosowanych rozwiązań technicznych oraz różne podejście do zagadnień projektowych prezentowane w powszechnie stosowanych i mniej popularnych standardach projektowych.

Under national regulations devices for smoke removal from staircases should be the minimum mandatory equipment for most multi-storey buildings. The article presents the definition and characteristics of designed and manufactured systems of this type. It also discusses the limitations of commonly used technical solutions and different approaches to design issues in widely used and less popular design standards.

The article presents the modelled system for tests and certification of the electromechanical actuators which is used in the active safety devices that increase the level of technical and fire safety. The important elements of the fire protection are: safety devices for removal of smoke and heat from the building, and devices for ensuring permeability of the evacuation tracts, and the actuators for opening the windows and valves for de-smoking and aeration. The developed system allows running tests on the actuators to determine on their load characteristics, durability and resistance to increased or decreased temperatures. The configuration of the control-measurement module includes the PC computer with implemented specialised software that cooperates with the PLC controller and allows to all necessary measurement operations and control functions that were earlier developed from the research procedures.
