Wśród 4362 Gazel Biznesu znalazło się 205 producentów artykułów spożywczych i napojów, w tym 128 debiutantów. Firmy te stanowiły 4,7% Gazel Biznesu, tj. o 1 pkt% więcej niż w poprzedniej edycji [4]. W rankingu tym prawie wszystkie branże przemysłu spożywczego miały swoich reprezentantów, z wyjątkiem cukrowniczej i tytoniowej oraz skrobiowej i winiarskiej. Tradycyjnie najliczniej reprezentowana była branża mięsna oraz tzw. dział produkcji pozostałych artykułów spożywczych. Sprzedaż produktów spożywczych stanowiła wśród Gazel Biznesu 6,3% przychodów firm składających sprawozdania finansowe, przy udziale w zatrudnieniu 7,1% i w wyniku finansowym 8,8%, osiągając rentowność netto wyższą (o prawie 2 pkt%) od średniej w przemyśle spożywczym.

From among 4.362 Business Gazelles, there were 205 producers of food and drinks, including 128 debutants. These companies accounted for 4.7% of Business Gazelles, i.e. by 1 percentage point more than in the previous edition. In the ranking, almost all industries of food industry had their representatives, excluding sugar and tobacco as well as starch and wine branches. Traditionally, the meat production and the manufacture of other food products were the most represented sectors. The sales of Business Gazelles from the food industry accounted for 6.3% of revenues of the companies submitting financial statements, with employment share of 7.1% and financial result of 8.8%, achieving net profitability higher (by almost 2 percentage points) than the average in the food industry.

W XV edycji rankingu Gazele Biznesu uplasowało się 268 producentów artykułów spożywczych i napojów, z czego połowa to debiutanci. Oznacza to spadek liczebności firm spożywczych o 7,6%. Firmy te stanowiły 6,2% najbardziej dynamicznych małych i średnich firm przemysłowych. Były one reprezentantami prawie wszystkich branż przetwórstwa spożywczego, z wyjątkiem cukrowniczej oraz tytoniowej. Najliczniej reprezentowane było przetwórstwo mięsa (63 firmy), mleka (41), owoców i warzyw (36), produkcja koncentratów spożywczych (31), pieczywa świeżego (26) oraz pasz (20).

In XV edition of Business Gazelles ranking, there were 268 producers of food and beverages, which was by 7.6% less than in the previous edition. Half of the food companies consisted of the debutants of this ranking. Food companies accounted for 6.2% of the most dynamic small and medium-sized industrial companies. They were representatives of all sectors of food processing with the exception of sugar branch and tobacco. The largest number of representatives was revealed by the meat industry (63 companies), dairy industry (41), fruits and vegetables processing (36), and production of food concentrates (31), fresh bread (26) and feeds (20).

Do XIII edycji rankingu Gazele Biznesu zakwalifikowało się 232 producentów artykułów spożywczych i napojów - była to liczba zbliżona do liczby w latach poprzednich. Stanowiły one 5,3% najbardziej dynamicznych małych i średnich firm przemysłowych. Było ich o 0,9 pkt% mniej niż w XII edycji, a wynikało to z dużego wzrostu ogólnej liczby firm objętych rankingiem (z 3779 w 2011 r. do 4342 w 2012 r.). Byli oni reprezentantami wszystkich branż przetwórstwa spożywczego, z wyjątkiem cukrowniczej i tytoniowej. Najliczniej reprezentowane było przetwórstwo mięsa, mleka, owoców i warzyw (łącznie z ziemniakami), produkcja pasz oraz koncentratów spożywczych i pieczywa świeżego. Ponad połowę firm spożywczych tego rankingu stanowiły przedsiębiorstwa notowane po raz pierwszy, a pozostali to laureaci z poprzedniego roku. W niektórych branżach liderzy tego rankingu zwiększyli swoją sprzedaż nawet kilkakrotnie.

In the XIII edition of the ranking "Gazelles of the Business" there were qualified 232 producers of food products and beverages. It was the number similar as in previous years. It accounted for 5.3% of the most dynamic small and medium size industrial companies. It was about 0.9 pp less than in the XII edition, what resulted from a large increase in the total number of companies included in the ranking (from 3779 in 2011 to 4342 in 2012). They were representatives of all sectors of food processing, with the exception of sugar and tobacco. Processing of meat, milk, fruits and vegetables (including potatoes) as well as the production of feed, food concentrates and fresh bread were most strongly represented. More than half of these food companies were ranked for the first time; the others were the winners of the previous year. In some sectors, the leaders of the discussed ranking have increased their sales even several times.
