Jednym z efektów wykorzystywania funduszy europejskich w polskiej gospodarce jest podnoszenie poziomu bezpieczeństwa finansowego małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw. Szeroki zakres inwestycji, na jakie mogą być przeznaczane pozyskiwane środki finansowe, przenosi się na stabilność gospodarczą, możliwość generowania dodatkowych zysków, a szczególnie umożliwiają one współfinansowanie inwestycji rozwojowych. Oferowana pomoc stwarza ogromne szanse dla tego rodzaju podmiotów gospodarczych. Trafne sprecyzowanie potrzeb, przygotowanie i późniejsze rozliczenie składanych wniosków o dofinansowanie może być, a bardzo często już jest, dla firmy źródłem jej ekspansji gospodarczej w regionie, kraju, a nawet na rynku międzynarodowym.

Poland’s access to the European Union has offered an enormous chance to balance developmental differences, which exist between Western, Central and Eastern Europe. Huge assets transferred to the member countries within the confines of numerous sectorial assistance activities are meant to make the Union the most dynamic and competitive economy market all over the world, able to secure stable growth and connected with the increase in the number of positions. In the scope of operating programmes formed, not only expenses applying to direct activity of small and medium - size companies, but also those connected with their economic environment are refinanced Experiences applying to union assets use so far point at a large number of constraints, that limit the undisturbed use of the Union assistance. The most important ones concern complicated principles to win assets to cover applications from entrepreneurs. Significant difficulties refer also to the necessity to fund part or even the whole investment from one’s own means, which are to be refinanced only after investment closing. The condition to receive borne expenditures is however its good settlement. Additional barriers put to entrepreneurs are also connected with the possibility of tax charges of the refinanced sum of money. With so many limits existing, it can, in some cases, surely prevent striving to get the projects refunded, or may be the reason of refusal to refinance already borne expenditures.
