Celem pracy jest ocena stanu technologii uprawy roli i roślin w województwie podlaskim w okresie przemian w rolnictwie oraz ich wpływu na zmiany w środowisku na obszarach rolniczych. Przykładowe zmiany w uprawach polowych przedstawiono i oceniono na obszarze powiatu hajnowskiego.

Currently agriculture operates in three farming systems: conventional, sustainable and biodynamic farming. The most efficient is the conventional system and most environmentally friendly – biodynamic farming. In Podlaskie due to the inclusion of agriculture into the EU Common Agricultural Policy there have been major structural and technological changes. The work presents changes in technologies of plant and soil cultivation in conventional agriculture and the effects of these changes in the natural environment. In years 2005-2014 increased corn cultivation area for grain and silage, wheat and oilseed rape. Changes in modern cultivation technologies led to discontinue the usage of crop rotation in field crops, weed growth in monocultures, and the emergence of new crop pests. In Podlaskie agriculture it is needed to increase the area planted for crops adapted to light soils and existing agroclimate, in order to stop the soils degradation processes.
