The motive of this article is to study a modified iteration scheme for monotone nonexpansive mappings in the class of uniformly convex Banach space and establish some convergence results. We obtain weak and strong convergence results. In addition, we present a nontrivial numerical example to show the convergence of our iteration scheme. To demonstrate the utility of our scheme, we discuss the solution of nonlinear integral equations as an application, which is again supported by a nontrivial example.

The aim of this paper is to propose two new modified extragradient methods to solve the pseudo-monotone equilibrium problem in a real Hilbert space with the Lipschitz-type condition. The iterative schemes use a new step size rule that is updated on each iteration based on the value of previous iterations. By using mild conditions on a bi-function, two strong convergence theorems are established. The applications of proposed results are studied to solve variational inequalities and fixed point problems in the setting of real Hilbert spaces. Many numerical experiments have been provided in order to show the algorithmic performance of the proposed methods and compare them with the existing ones.

In this paper, we introduce a new algorithm for solving pseudomonotone variational inequalities with a Lipschitz-type condition in a real Hilbert space. The algorithm is constructed around two algorithms: the subgradient extragradient algorithm and the inertial algorithm. The proposed algorithm uses a new step size rule based on local operator information rather than its Lipschitz constant or any other line search scheme and functions without any knowledge of the Lipschitz constant of an operator. The strong convergence of the algorithm is provided. To determine the computational performance of our algorithm, some numerical results are presented.

In this paper, we study the problem of finding a common solution of split generalized vector mixed equlibrium problem (SGVMEP), fixed point problem (FPP) and variational inequality problem (VIP). We propose an inertial-type iterative algorithm, which uses a projection onto a feasible set and a linesearch, which can be easily calculated. We prove a strong convergence of the sequence generated by the proposed algorithm to a common solution of SGVMEP, fixed point of a quasi- ϕ -nonexpansive mapping and VIP for a general class of monotone mapping in 2-uniformly convex and uniformly smooth Banach space E1 and a smooth, strictly convex and reflexive Banach space E2 . Some numerical examples are presented to illustrate the performance of our method. Our result improves some existing results in the literature.

In this paper, we introduce and study an Ishikawa-type iteration process for the class of generalized hemicontractive mappings in p-uniformly convex metric spaces, and prove both Delta-convergence and strong convergence theorems for approximating a fixed point of generalized hemicontractive mapping in complete p-uniformly convex metric spaces. We give a surprising example of this class of mapping that is not a hemicontractive mapping. Our results complement, extend and generalize numerous other recent results in CAT(0) spaces.

In this paper, we introduce the class of asymptotically demicontractive multivalued mappings and establish a strong convergence theorem of the modified Mann iteration to a common fixed point of a finite family of asymptotically demicontractive multivalued mappings in a complete CAT(0) space. We also give a numerical example of our iterative method to show its applicability.

In this article, we propose an inertial extrapolation-type algorithm for solving split system of minimization problems: finding a common minimizer point of a finite family of proper, lower semicontinuous convex functions and whose image under a linear transformation is also common minimizer point of another finite family of proper, lower semicontinuous convex functions. The strong convergence theorem is given in such a way that the step sizes of our algorithm are selected without the need for any prior information about the operator norm. The results obtained in this article improve and extend many recent ones in the literature. Finally, we give one numerical example to demonstrate the efficiency and implementation of our proposed algorithm.

The purpose of this article is to study the method of approximation for zeros of the sum of a finite family of maximally monotone mappings and prove strong convergence of the proposed approximation method under suitable conditions. The method of proof is of independent interest. In addition, we give some applications to the minimization problems and provide a numerical example which supports our main result. Our theorems improve and unify most of the results that have been proved for this important class of nonlinear mappings.

The purpose of this paper is to study convergence of a newly defined modified S-iteration process to a common fixed point of two asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive type mappings in the setting of CAT(0) space. We give a sufficient condition for convergence to a common fixed point and establish some strong convergence theorems for the said iteration process and mappings under suitable conditions. Our results extend and improve many known results from the existing literature.

In this paper we propose an iterative algorithm based on the hybrid method in mathematical programming for approximating a common fixed point of an infinite family of left Bregman strongly nonexpansive mappings which also solves a finite system of equilibrium problems in a reflexive real Banach space. We further prove that our iterative sequence converges strongly to a common fixed point of an infinite family of left Bregman strongly nonexpansive mappings which is also a common solution to a finite system of equilibrium problems. Our result extends many recent and important results in the literature.

In this paper, strong convergence theorems by the viscosity approximation method for nonexpansive multi-valued nonself mappings and equilibrium problems are established under some suitable conditions in a Hilbert space. The obtained results extend and improve the corresponding results existed in the literature.

In this paper, we introduce a new explicit iterative scheme for approximation of fixed points of demicontinuous pseudocontractive mappings in uniformly smooth Banach spaces and prove strong convergence of our proposed iterative scheme. Furthermore, we modify our explicit iterative scheme for approximation of zeroes of bounded demicontinuous accretive mappings in uniformly smooth Banach spaces. Our result improves, extends and unifies most of the results that have been proved for this class of mappings.

In this paper, we propose a modified Mann iterative algorithm by two hybrid projection methods for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of nonexpansive semigroups and the set of solutions of a mixed equilibrium problem in a real Hilbert space. Then, we obtain interesting and new strong convergence theorems for the sequences generated by these processes by using the hybrid projection methods in the mathematical programming. The results presented in this paper extend and improve the corresponding one by Nakajo and Takahashi [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 279 (2003), 372-379].

The purpose of this paper is to establish a strong convergence of an implicit iteration process to a common fixed point for a finite family of quasi-contractive operators. Our theorems give an armative response to a question raised by [Xu and Ori, Numer. Funct. Anal. Optim. 22 (2001) 767-773 ].

Content available remote A note on the theorem of V. Berinde
EN
V. Berinde presented convergence theorem [1] in normed spaces for Ishikawa iterations associated with Zamfirescue operators, which is an extension of the theorem of Rhoades [11]. In this note, we point out some misprints in the calculations and established new inequalities involved in the proof of the theorem. Consequently we give better estimation in proving the convergence theorem.
