Przedstawiono proces udoskonalania modelu triangularnego żuchwy otrzymanego na podstawie obrazowania medycznego. Podstawą procesu modelowania jest zastosowanie tomografii komputerowej jako narzędzia do pozyskania i zapisu cyfrowych obrazów odpowiadających przekrojom tkanki kostnej żuchwy. Analiza i obróbka cyfrowa tych obrazów umożliwia otrzymanie trójwymiarowego modelu kości żuchwy. Doskonalenie modelu triangularnego dotyczy głównie usunięcia wewnętrznych artefaktów oraz przystosowania modelu do wykonania wydruku 3D.

Intention of this paper is to demonstrate a process of upgrading a triangular model of mandible obtained on the basis of medical representation. Modelling process is based on the computed tomography technique used as a means to obtain and to record digital images of the mandible bone tissue cross-sections. Cautious examination and digital processing of these images should yield a three-dimensional model of the mandible. The upgrade operation of triangular model consists mainly in elimination of internal artefacts and adaptation of the model to 3D printing process.
The paper presents the solution of the problem of interpolation the irregular set of 3D data points by a surface represented as the mesh of triangular faces. The surface should be smooth with some tolerance given. The task has been solved in a non-trivial way, with the use of known algorithms, in two steps. First the input points are triangulated by the Ball Pivoting Algorithm, originally designed for scanned point clouds. Then the modified Butterfly subdivision algorithm is performed. The implementation is dedicated for the NuTria modeller, destined for bent metal plates.

W artykule przedstawiono rozwiązanie problemu interpolacji nieregularnych zbiorów punktów za pomocą siatek trójkątów tworzących powierzchnię o gładkości zbliżonej do C1 z zadaną tolerancją. Zadanie zostało wykonane w niezbyt typowy sposób z wykorzystaniem znanych algorytmów: algorytmu triangulacji metodą przetaczającej się kuli i algorytmu iteracyjnych podziałów zmodyfikowaną metodą Butterfly. Wynikiem implementacji jest moduł interpolacji zadanego zbioru punktów w modelerze NuTria, przeznaczonym do modelowania blach giętych w MSP.

We develop a new multidimensional finite-volume algorithm for transport equations. This algorithm is both stable and non-dissipative. It is based on a reconstruction of the discrete solution inside each cell at every time step. The proposed reconstruction, which is genuinely multidimensional, allows recovering sharp profiles in both the direction of the transport velocity and the transverse direction. It constitutes an extension of the one-dimensional reconstructions analyzed in (Lagoutiere, 2005; Lagoutiere, 2006).
