Artykuł przedstawia nową metodę tworzenia typoszeregu wielostopniowych przekładni zębatych. Nie jest ona oparta na zasadach podobieństwa. Celem było uzyskanie maksymalnej unifikacji elementów zębatych przy równoczesnym zachowaniu lub zwiększeniu przenoszonej mocy. Do rozwiązania problemu wykorzystano algorytm genetyczny.

In the paper, new creation method of series of types of multi-stage gears was presented. The method is not based on the rules of similarity. The aim was to achieve the maximal unification of geared pairs, simultaneously preserving or increasing the transmitted power. The dedicated genetic algorithm was used for solution of the discussed task.

Purpose: Theory of construction similarity has its roots in the theory of physical similarity. The model in the theory of construction similarity is a model construction. Model in the theory of similarity of construction and technology is construction and technology standard. Design/methodology/approach: The fundamental aim of the work is the selection of design features in particular type sizes of series of types that allows obtaining physical, stereomechanical and simple states that are identical as in the model construction. The basic form of the record of series of construction types is program and relation parameterization. Features are determined for the items stored in the form of series of construction and technology types. Research limitations/implications: Analysed methods develop algorithmisation of engineers and technologists environment and support integration with the process of preparation the production. Practical implications: Described methods were being developed on practical examples of creating the series of types of hydraulic cylinders used in mining. Originality/value: Method of the constructional similarity, technological similarity presented in the paper are basis of selection of design features in the process of series of types and module systems of constructions and technology creating. All of these methods support intensive development of the types of technical features and affect on their competitive on the ready market.

Podstawowym celem pracy jest taki dobór cech konstrukcyjnych w poszczególnych typowielkościach typoszeregu, aby uzyskać identyczne stany: fizyczne, stereomechaniczne oraz proste jak w konstrukcji wzorcowej. Ten dobór cech konstrukcyjnych zintegrowano z optymalizacją różnorodności ilościowych cech konstrukcyjnych poprzez agregację wartości wymiarów. Agregacja wpływa na liczność typowielkości w typoszeregach konstrukcji, a więc możliwość tworzenia jak największej liczby złożeń ograniczoną ich liczbą.

The main goal of this work is the selection of constructional features in the series of types to get the same states: physical, stereomechanical and simple as in the master constructions. The selection of constructional features are integrated with the optimization of quantitative constructional features by aggregating the value of dimensions. Aggregation effect on the size of series of types of construction, and therefore possibility of creating the greatest number of assemblies with a limited their number.

Podstawowym zagadnieniem opracowanym w pracy jest aplikacja wspomagająca generowanie danych technologicznych dla typoszeregów konstrukcji maszyn. Dane generowane są w formie tradycyjnej (karty technologiczne i instrukcyjne) oraz kodów na obrabiarki sterowane numerycznie. Model przekształceń bazuje na opracowanej teorii podobieństwa technologicznego i algorytmach przekształceń cech konstrukcyjnych z zastosowaniem relacyjnych baz danych [6, 7, 8].

The data are generated in traditional form (technological and instruction cards) and codes for numerically controlled machines. The model of transformation is based on the theory of similarity and algorithms of transformation constructional features using relational databases [6, 7, 8].

Celem badań jest weryfikacja teorii podobieństwa konstrukcyjnego na przykładzie elementów wykonanych z kompozytów. Zdefiniowano warunki podobieństwa konstrukcyjnego, a następnie utworzono typoszereg elementów wykonanych ze stali oraz z włókna węglowego. Na podstawie wyników badań określono, czy w przypadku typoszeregu elementów wykonanych z materiałów kompozytowych spełnione jest podstawowe założenie teorii podobieństwa konstrukcyjnego, jakim jest zachowanie identycznych stanów naprężeń w każdej typowielkości.

The main goal of the research is the verification of the constructional similarity theory on the composites elements example. The constructional similarity conditions were defined and then the series of types of the steel and composite elements were generated. The main assumption of the theory is conserving constant stress states in whole series of types. The research results leads to the conclusion that composite elements series of types meet that assumption.

Purpose: The article presents the development of series of types of technology issues. This is an accomplished using of the innovative technological similarity theory. The transformation presented in the theory relates to the turning machining processes. Design/methodology/approach: The data generation process is concerned with the creation of the conditions and number similarities. The turning condition of similarity results from the cutting power, cutting forces and cutting performance. Findings: The development of the theory of similarity allows the generation of machining parameters for the series of types of construction (blank, machining parameters, tools). Research limitations/implications: The analyzed methods develop the algorithmisation of engineers and technologists environment and support the integration with the process of preparation of the production. Practical implications: The described methods were being developed on the practical examples of the creating of the series of types of the hydraulic cylinders used in mining. Originality/value: The method of the technological similarity presented in the paper is the basis of the selection of technological features in the process of series of types and module systems of constructions and technology creating.

Purpose: The paper presents way to designate the exemplary design features by optimizing the features by means of the Finite Element Method. The subject of optimization are the qualitative and quantitative geometrical design features: the geometrical design form and the geometrical dimensions. Design/methodology/approach: The fallowing computer aided methods were used to support the engineering process: FEM analysis, geometry optimization, optimization of the dimension values using the variant analysis and relational parameterization. These stages were developed in TOSCA software and advanced graphical programs: NX and I-DEAS. Findings: The result of research was the determination of exemplar design features that take into account consideration: technical expediency, economic expediency and production capacities. On the basis of design features and with the use of the relational parameterization, the series of types was established. Research limitations/implications: Due to the iterative process, optimization based on Finite Element Analysis is time consuming. Practical implications: The described method can be used in creating the series of types and modular construction systems. Originality/value: The presented algorithm of optimization and analysis of the geometrical features with the use of the Finite Element Method, allows determining the exemplar design features, which are the basis for the development of an exemplar form of the series of types.

Teoria podobieństwa konstrukcyjnego pozwala opracować typoszeregi konstrukcji, zachowując identyczne stany przy wykorzystaniu warunków podobieństwa konstrukcyjnego oraz zunifikowanych cech charakterystycznych. Tak wygenerowane wymiary nowych typowielkości są przyrównywane do wymiarów elementów katalogowych, znormalizowanych lub do szeregu liczb normalnych. W niniejszej pracy przedstawiono analizę wpływu zaokrąglania wartości wymiarów na uzyskany wynik. Przeanalizowano sposoby przyrównywania wymiaru oraz niedokładności w szeregu liczb normalnych pod względem podobieństwa liczb.

The construction similarity theory allows to elaborate a series of construction types while maintaining the same states, using construction similarity conditions and unified construction attributes. Generated in such way new construction dimensions are compared to the dimensions of catalogue elements, normalized elements or preferred numbers. This paper presents an analysis of the impact on the result of rounding the dimensions. Methods of the comparision of dimension and inaccuracy in the normal numbers series in terms of numbers similarity were analyzed. The dimensions comparison process and similarity of preferred normal numbers were analyzed.

Podstawowym narzędziem tworzenia typoszeregów technologii jest opracowana teoria podobieństwa technologicznego. Metoda określa cechy technologiczne dla podstawowych operacji procesów obróbki: toczeniem, frezowaniem i wierceniem.

Purpose: The result of this paper is verification of relation between constructional features and technological features. The basic tool of the series of types of technologies creating is algorithmic method. The worked out datum of these methods is already elaborated ordered families of construction in form of series of types or modular series of elements construction. Design/methodology/approach: This paper shows algorithmic understanding of getting input data in the process of technology creating based on data of construction. Basic tool of realization of data selection for the process of manufacture is algorithmic method and use of advanced graphic programme. Findings: The basic result of the analyzed problem is the realization of relations between construction and technology for specified series of types of elements of machine engines. Moreover the algorithmic method with its essential constituents which determine input date of algorithmization of processes of selection of technological features on bases of constructional features was introduced. Research limitations/implications: Analyzed methods develop algorithmization of designing environment and support integration with the prepare production process (relational databases, theory of automatic classification). Practical implications: Described methods were developed on practical examples of creating the technological module systems of hydraulic cylinders used in mining, slag cars used in metallurgy and gears series of types The represented methods are applied for the series of type of units of servo-motors hydraulic practical in mining. Originality/value: Algorithmic method and CAM method are basis for selection of technological features in the process of already ordered technology families creating. This method is characterized with possibility of shortening time connected with preparation of manufacture.

Purpose: The main aim of research was to elaborate models of construction attributes selection process in ordered construction families. Design/methodology/approach: Based on selection models of quantitative construction attributes in reference to unified characteristic attributes it is possible to generate ordered construction families like: series of types, modular systems. Findings: Selection models of quantitative construction attributes were analyzed. Those methods are based on construction congruence. Research limitations/implications: The neural network model limitations come from the neural network structure. The accuracy of neural network work results vary of neural network quality. The constructional similarity model can be applied only to that states which are described by similarity theory. Practical implications: Presented method was applied in grippers series of types generation process. Originality/value: Described models give simple and quick ways to select construction attributes in ordered construction families.

Purpose: The main aim of research was to elaborate methods to estimate costs in construction series of types production process. Design/methodology/approach: Based on manufacturing cost of one element it is possible to determine cost of other elements belonged to the same construction series of types. The four main cost estimating methods were distinguished. The first method is feature-based. The technological operations are dedicated to specified pieces of element. Cost manufacturing of every piece is specified. Based on elementary costs the manufacturing cost of whole part is calculated. The second method uses construction similarity theory. The selected part manufacturing costs are functionally depended on main part manufacturing costs. The CAM method is based on time calculation from manufacturing process simulation. The simplified method uses normalized masses of analyzed parts pieces. The balance coefficients of those pieces are specified. Findings: Manufacturing cost estimation methods were analyzed. Those methods are based on construction and manufacturing technology. The main conclusion is that CAM method is most accurate. Research limitations/implications: The CAM method is limited to analyze only manufacturing process based on numerically controlled machines. The Feature-based method require developed database for analyzed part family. Practical implications: Presented method was applied in hydraulic props manufacturing cost analysis. Originality/value: Described analysis puts together and compares different cost estimating methods which allows choosing most suitable method for analyzed manufacturing process.

Purpose: The water and electricity (etc.) supply is the main problem that big agglomerations meet, therefore the non-excavation works are developed in areas of high buildings density. Design/methodology/approach: There are many construction solutions of erosion machines that has already been verified in real tests, but the current goal is to develop non – excavation robotized machine. Erosion machines with main dimensions of the tunnels which are: 1600, 2000, 2500, 3150 are design with use of the computer aided methods. Findings: The result is a modeled in I-DEAS advanced graphical program series of types of the erosion machines with two main designs. The assembly models were analyzed: by system analyze (work simulation of the assembly), by strength analyze (Finite element method) and saved in 2D drawings. Research limitations/implications: The practical methodology verification of creating the systematic part family was based on the designed erosion machines series of types. There were developed: the algorithmic selection methods of quantitative construction attributes, the construction similarity method of the erosion machines, variant analyzes in the I-DEAS advanced graphical program, program and relational parameterization [3,7,11]. There will be created manufacturing process of the parts, which allows to verify the technology on the CNC machines. Practical implications: The designed models will be modified and the construction will be consulted with manufacturers and erosion machine users like: OHL ZS a.s. from Brna, Tauber Rohrbau GmbH & Co.KG from Minster. The companies’ acceptance will result in practical verification by JUMARPOL company. Originality/value: The main achievement is the design of a robotized erosion machine to non – excavation works. The designing process was supported by computer aided methods invented on Silesian University of Technology in the I-DEAS advanced graphics program.

W artykule przedstawiono wymagania funkcjonalne oraz techniczne, na podstawie których, opracowano uniwersalną architekturę typoszeregu systemów zgrzewania ultradźwiękowego, z cyfrową analizą sygnałów sprzężenia zwrotnego oraz z wizualizacją parametrów procesu. Omówiono bloki funkcjonalne części sprzętowej oraz moduły oprogramowania opracowanej architektury i zależności między nimi.

The paper presents a method allowing to determine manure spreaders series of types. The method in question makes use of the database containing three integral parts, which closely work with each other. The first one concerns editing and controlling correctness of database records describing farm tractors and manure spreaders. The second one includes data regarding grain crop type and crop area size, and the third one is a module allowing to select a farm tractor + manure spreader unit on the grounds of an objective function. The objective function concerns: operating costs minimisation for an organic fertilizing unit [PLN], energy expenditure minimisation [kWh], or labour amount minimisation [man-hours]. This method provides grounds for developing Web page concerning selection of machines and equipment for field crop fertilisation.

Opracowano metodę określania typoszeregów ciągników rolniczych dla dyskretnych rozkładów potrzeb użytkowników. Podstawą budowy typoszeregu ciągników był rozkład zapotrzebowań na moc ciągników wykorzystywanych do orki przy uprawie roślin zbożowych. Opracowano bazę danych o ciągnikach rolniczych dostępnych obecnie na rynku krajowym. Baza ta przybliża użytkownikom oferty producentów ciągników rolniczych oraz pomaga w wyborze ciągników dla gospodarstwa rolnego. Jako kryterium wyboru przyjęto wskaźnik wykorzystania mocy ciągnika. Określono liczbę klas oraz przynależność poszczególnych mocy do klas typoszeregu.

A method of determination of series of types of agricultural tractors for discreet distribution of users' needs. The basis for creating a tractor series of types was distribution of power of tractors used for ploughing for corn crop cultivation. A database was created of agriculture tractors currently available in the domestic market. The database informs the users about the offers of agricultural tractor manufacturers and helps to choose tractors for a farm. As a choice criterion, the indicator of tractor power utilization was adopted. A number of classes were defined as well as the assignment of the respective power values to the classes of a series of types.

W pracy przedstawiono bazę danych stanowiącą podstawę określania typoszeregów wozów asenizacyjnych oraz metody doboru tych wozów do nawożenia organicznego upraw polowych. Możliwe jest dokonanie wyboru agregatu ciągnik rolniczy + wóz asenizacyjny w oparciu o funkcję celu dotyczą: minimalizacji kosztów eksploatacji agregatu [zł/ha], minimalizacji nakładów energetycznych [kWh] lub minimalizacji nakładów robocizny [rbh]. Optymalnym okazał się typoszereg złożony z pięciu klas pojemności: 1,5 m3, 5 m3, 9 m3, 15 m3 oraz 35 m3.

The database being the foundation of determining series of types of liquid manure spreaders as well as methods of selection of these spreaders for organic fertilization of crops were shown in the paper. It is possible to make the selection of tractor and liquid manure spreader set basing on the objective function relating to minimization of the set operating costs [zł/ha], energy costs [kWh] or works costs [rbh]. The series of types made up of five volume classes: 1,5 m3 , 5 m3, 9 m3 , 15 m3 , and 35 m3 turned out to be optimal.
