The assessment of the pollutant emission from the self ignition engine in its different operating states

Paper presents the results of pollutant emission tests from the self ignition engine in various states of its operation. Engine operating states were obtained on the engine test stand. The investigations were conducted in static and dynamic tests, both standard used in the type approval procedures as special ones, simulating specific engine operating conditions. The specific brake emission of carbon monoxide as well as those of hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides and particulate matter, averaged during the tests, have been determined. The influence of the engine operating states on the pollutant emission of impurities has been evaluated. Very high sensitivity was established of the pollutant specific brake emission on the operating states of the engine, both static ones and dynamic.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań procesu wtrysku paliwa oraz pomiaru stężeń substancji szkodliwych w silniku AD3.152 pracującym wg. zewnętrznej charakterystyki prędkościowej i zasilanym paliwem naturalnym EKODIESEL PLUS 50-B oraz paliwem roślinnym BIODIESEL D-FAME. Analiza otrzymanych wyników badań eksperymentalnych umożliwiła wykrycie występujących różnic w przebiegu procesu wtrysku i jego spalania w silniku zasilanym w/w różnymi paliwami, co wiąże się z emisją składników toksycznych spalin: węglowodorów, tlenków azotu i zadymienia spalin. Badania wykazały, wpływ właściwości badanych paliw na początkowe prędkości wypływu strumienia paliwa z wtryskiwacza, średnice kropel paliwa oraz różnice w pomiarach stężeń substancji szkodliwych tj.: węglowodorów, tlenków azotu i zadymienia spalin. Celowym jest prowadzenie dalszych badań procesów wtrysku paliwa i emisji spalin przy zasilaniu silnika zarówno paliwami pochodzenia mineralnego jak i roślinnego.

Tests results of the fuel injection process and measurement of the concentration of harmful matters in engine AD3.152 working per external velocity characteristic and feeding natural EKODIESEL PLUS 50-B fuel and vegetable fuel BIODIESEL D-FAME were presented in this article. Analysis obtained results allowed to find differences in course injection process and its combustion process in engine feeding above-mentioned fuels wluch was selated to environmental emission: hydrocarbons, nitric oxides and smokiness. The tests showed: influence measuring fuels on initial velocity of the fuels rinsing out at injector, drops diameter of the fuel and differences in measurement of the concentration of harmful matters, hydrocarbons, nitric oxides and environmental emission not only in vegetable feeding but also in mineral, too.
