Podejście procesowe jest stosowane w wielu przedsiębiorstwach bez względu na ich wielkość, branżę czy specjalizację. Współcześnie jednak stosowanie samego podejścia procesowego w organizacjach nie wystarcza. Przedsiębiorstwa ukierunkowane na osiąganie wymiernych efektów ekonomicznych w okresie długofalowym są zainteresowanie ciągłą poprawą funkcjonowania procesów ale również oceną ich dojrzałości. W artykule przeanalizowano istotę dojrzałości procesowej przedsiębiorstw oraz zaprezentowano przykład zastosowania metody samooceny w ocenie dojrzałości procesowej przedsiębiorstwa. W efekcie przeprowadzonej analizy zidentyfikowano obszary wymagające doskonalenia oraz zaproponowano podjęcie konkretnych działań w celu poprawy poziomu dojrzałości procesowej organizacji.

The process approach is used in many companies regardless of their size, industry or specialization. However nowadays use the same process approach in organizations is not enough. Companies focused on achieving economic effects in long term are interested in continuous improvement the functioning of processes but also the assessment of their maturity. The article analyses the essence of process management maturity assessment and shows an example of the self-assessment method in the evaluation of the process management maturity in the company. As a result of the analysis identifies the areas requiring improvement and proposes specific actions to improve the level of process management maturity.

Changeability and complexity of surrounding constitute a challenge with which organisations functioning in today's reality must cope. It becomes possible thanks to their acceptance of the rule of constant development, which conditions flexible adaptability to occurring changes. In economy based on knowledge it seems reasonable to use pro-qualitative concepts, methods and tools in the creation of the process of management. This, in tum, Leads to the growth of its efficiency and effectiveness. What comes to this group is self-assessment, which becomes the tool in the process of quality forming as well as the tool used in the process of the formation of maturity level of organisational solutions. Giving information, knowledge allows to orientate managers to the excellence of their functioning, by which conditioning the possibility of development and achieving permanent success in the future.
