Today, problem of sustainable development appears more and more on the desks of scientists. Now it is important to rethink global and fundamental economic theories. This contingency requires that we free ourselves from the grip of those conceptions and practices of the monetarist traditions, traditions which must now be thoroughly superseded, that systemically, by a science of physical economy: by the adoption of a notion of physical, rather than monetary value. This replacement must be in the form of a credit system, rather than a monetarist system. Scientific achievements S. Podolynsky and L. LaRouche carried out on the edge of natural and social sciences. He was the first who combined the physical processes with economical, methodologically demonstrated need of the synthesis of natural and cost parameters store solar energy in the process of economic activity. So today we must apply a macroeconomic approach, which would be focused on adequate outcomes of natural systems, which consider the components of the system: “human” – “society” – “ecology” in reciprocal communication. Only in such coordinates can find an optimal solution, and for the further development of humanity - to ensure sustainable development

Praca dotyczy związków pomiędzy różnymi kategoriami postępu naukowego a wybranymi charakterystykami ekonomiczno-rolniczymi w mikro i makroskali. Stwierdzono, że postęp biologiczny i chemiczny wpływają na wzrost wydajności ziemi a postęp techniczny na wzrost wydajności pracy. Istnieją jednak ujemne konsekwencje wprowadzanego postępu w sferach ekologicznych i społecznych.

The work describes relationships between different scientific progress categories and selected economic and agricultural characteristics in micro- and macro-scale. It has been observed that progress in biology and chemistry results in increasing soil productivity, and technological progress allows to increase productivity of work. However, there are also negative consequences of progress introduced in ecological and social spheres.

Przedstawiono wskaźnik technicznego uzbrojenia, postęp naukowo-techniczny i jego efektywność oraz przyrost produkcji czystej, w gospodarstwach różniących się stopniem uproszczenia produkcji roślinnej. Przedmiotem badań były biznes plany złożone przez 116 rolników do Agencji Restrukturyzacji i Modernizacji Rolnictwa na podstawie, których mieli szansę otrzymać pomoc finansową na zakup nowych maszyn i urządzeń. Informacje zawarte w tych wnioskach pozwoliły na ocenę wyposażenia technicznego gospodarstw a w konsekwencji na określenie ww. wskaźników w latach 2002-2007.

A technological index of equipment, scientific and technological progress and its effectiveness as well as net production increase in the farms with varying production facilitation degree were presented. The subject of research pertained to business plans submitted by 116 farmers before Agriculture Restructuring and Modernizing Agency in order to have a chance to get a financial grant for a purchase of new machinery and equipment. Information contained in those applications were used to evaluate technical equipment used in the farms, and consequently, determine above mentioned indices for years 2002-2007.

W pracy przedstawiono wskaźnik technicznego uzbrojenia oraz postęp naukowo-techniczny i jego efektywność, w gospodarstwach prowadzących różną działalność produkcyjną. Badaniami objęto 116 gospodarstw rozwojowych położonych na terenie Małopolski, które dzięki unijnej pomocy finansowej mogły zmodernizować własny park maszynowy. Na podstawie zebranych informacji oceniono m.in. wyposażenie techniczne gospodarstw, co pozwoliło na określenie ww. wskaźników, w latach 2002-2007. Przeprowadzono również analizę statystyczną wykorzystując program STATISICA 6.0.

Paper presents a technical equipment index, scientific and technological progress and its effectiveness in farms conducting a variety of production activities. Research included 116 developing farms located within region of Małopolska. The selected farms could modernize their own machine equipment due to the EU financial support. Based on collected data it was possible to evaluate the technical equipment in those farms and determine the above mentioned indexes within period of 2002 to 2007. A statistical analysis was also conducted using STATISTICA 6.0 software.
