An idea of a composite mast yacht as a closed composite profile made by means of a suitably formed composite swage. For the strength analyses use was made of the MES package produced by the MSC Software company and for recording the construction - the system Unigraphics. A computer simulation of pressure forming of the swage was made and also a prototype swage was made of an epoxy-glass composite and then compared with a duralumin swage.
