The article deals with problems connected to crisis management regarding mining companies. In accordance with adequate decrees, mining companies, including mining plants, belong to objects towards which crisis management rules should be applied. In mining plants, apart from underground threats, ground threats that lead to a crisis situation might also emerge on the entrepreneur’s territory. By this reason, they should be guided by the principles for the preparation for their special protection through conceptual, planning, organizational, logistic, technical, training and control activities taken to develop, agree and update specific protection plans, implement projects under the alert and notification system, and exchange information on threats. A summary of possible hazards to a particular site and a separate mining plant facility, assessment and risk control are essential to develop a safety concept and prevent risks. There is a need of continual analyses of potential threats and actions taken to eliminate them, and if they occur the rapid response of individual services and appropriate integrated rescue operations.

Prowadzenie eksploatacji złoża węgla brunatnego metodą odkrywkową stwarza wiele problemów i zagrożeń wynikających z wykonywania robót górniczych, związanych z udostepnieniem kolejnych poziomów eksploatacyjnych. W przypadku kopalni odkrywkowej do najbardziej niebezpiecznych zagrożeń należą osuwiska, szczególnie osuwiska wieloskarpowe, zwłaszcza, jeżeli wystąpią niespodziewanie i w sposób niekontrolowany. W artykule przedstawiono nowatorskie rozwiązania techniczne zastosowane do monitorowania powierzchniowych przemieszczeń wyrobisk górniczych w oparciu o rozwiązania techniczne firmy Leica Geosystems. Do integracji pomiarów geodezyjnych i geotechnicznych wykorzystano oprogramowanie sterujące "GeoMos", które odpowiednio skonfigurowane i zaprogramowane pozwala na wykonywanie zaprogramowanych sekwencji. Bieżące monitorowanie przemieszczeń powierzchniowych rejonu zagrożeń osuwiskowych pozwala na bezpieczne prowadzenie robót górniczych.

Mining of the brown coal deposit by opencast method creates many problems and hazards resulting from, connected with the development of the sequent working levels. In case of opencast the most dangerous hazards are landslides, particularly multi-slope landslides, especially when they occur suddenly and in the way beyond control. The innovative technical solutions applied for surface workings monitoring based on technical solutions of Leica Geosystems company are presented. For integration of surveying and geo-technical measurement control software "GeoMos" is used, which properly configed, calibrated and programmed allows to execute programmed sequency. Current monitoring of surface displacements of region landslide hazard allows to safe execution of mining works.
