Advantages arising from standardisation and certification in economic activity and in particular in manufacture are plain. It is difficult to imagine large-scale production without any standards. This is also true in case of construction, both in the design and prototype testing stage. Manufacture of rail elements in common European market necessitates unification of design processes, numerical methods and software. These demands are related to minimisation of design time and costs and, first of all, safety of people and cargo.
