Weryfikacja poziomu nienaruszalności funkcji związanych z bezpieczeństwem

This article describes methods for the safety integrity level (SIL) verification of safety-related functions with regard to probabilistic criteria given in international standards IEC 61508 and IEC 61511. These functions are realized using the electrical, electronic and programmable electronic (E/E/PE) systems or safety instrumented systems (SIS). Some methods are proposed for quantitative probabilistic modelling taking into account potential dependent failures in redundant systems with diverse channels within subsystems. The analyses of safety-related systems include testing and maintenance planning of subsystems, in particular the sensors and actuators with regard to the probabilistic criteria defined for given SIL. The methods are illustrated on some examples of systems from industrial hazardous plants.

In this article a prototype ProSIL software system for computer-aided functional safety management is discribed. The software consists of three modules for: determination of the required SIL level (ProSILen), veryfication of the SIL level (ProSILver), and layer of protection analysis (ProSIL/LOPA). In ProSIL the methods concerning functional safety analysis in the process of the design and operation of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) are implemented according to PN-EN 61508 and PN-EN 61511 standards, and some new methods, e.g. the calibrated risk graph method for determining required safety integrity level (SIL) based on the risk assessment. Moreover, methods of veryfying the SIL level of SIS. The Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) method with regard to Human Reliability Analysis (HRA) are also included in the software.

Przeprowadzono wstępną analizę nienaruszalności ruchu robota kroczącego na przykładzie robota czteronożnego. Podano wymagania wynikające z podejścia bezpieczeństwa funkcjonalnego i przykład analizy oparty o katalogowe dane elementów i estymację na podstawie normalnego rozkładu dystrybuanty prawdopodobieństwa rozkładu uszkodzeń. Otrzymano oszacowanie na poziomie SIL 2. Analiza zagrożeń i ryzyka oraz ocena bezpieczeństwa są konieczne do wprowadzenia robota do obrotu.

The paper presents the preliminary analysis of walking robot motion integrity onthe example of the four-legged robot. The requirements resulting from functional safety approach are done as well as an example of tha analysis based on the catalogue elements data and normal lay out of the failure probability distribution curve. Two architectures: 1oo1 and 1oo2 were considered. The assessment obtained is SIL 2. The hazard and risk analysis and safety assessment are mandatory by introduction on the market.

Z punktu widzenia oceny niezawodności pracy urządzeń mechanicznych i elektromechanicznych próba pracy długotrwałej spełnia trzy funkcje: oceny wstępnej jakości użytych elementów i wykonania, gdy odbywa się przed przekazaniem do magazynu, wyznaczenia z określonym prawdopodobieństwem trwałości urządzenia, wyznaczenia na podstawie powyższych danych poziomu nienaruszalności bezpieczeństwa podstawowego parametru w przypadku stosowania w systemach związanych z bezpieczeństwem. Przedstawiono różne aspekty tych funkcji, doświadczenia wynikające z wieloletniej oceny wyrobów jak też wybrane wyniki analizy katalogów aktualnie produkowanych urządzeń.

From the point of view of service reliability evaluation for mechanical and electromechanical devices, the long-time work test fulfils three tasks: introductory quality assessment of components and manufacturing, when it is executed before expedition to storage, evaluation, with the defined probability, the device mission time and evaluation, on the above mentioned data, the safely integrity level (SIL) - the fundamental parameter for the safety related systems. The various aspects of these tasks are presented, as well as the remarks of many years of experience and also the chosen results of manufacture data analysis.
