Przedstawiono opis zabytkowej katedry (Marienwerder) o kubaturze wewnętrznej ponad 50 000 m3. Jest to obiekt pokrzyżacki z XIV w. trójnawowy z cegły. Opisano sposób pracy instalacji ogrzewania ogniowego zrealizowany około roku 1935. W latach 1992 - 2000 katedra nie była ogrzewana. Zaproponowano modernizację przez wykorzystanie istniejących kanałów powietrznych oraz zasilania z sieci ciepłowniczej. Opisano sposób sterowania i podano przykładowe pomiary. Zastosowano komputer PC jako sterownik oraz uniwersalne moduły wejść/wyjść z odpowiednimi czujnikami temperatury, ciśnienia i wilgotności. Przedstawiono przykładowe obrazy synoptyczne sterowania dostawą ciepła i rozkłady temperatury we wnętrzu katedry.

The description of a historical cathedral (Marienwerder) with the capacity of over 50 000 m3 is presented. In the XIV century the object belonged to the Teutonic Knights. It has three aisles and is built of bricks. The way of the operation of the fire heating system about the year 1935 is given. Between 1992-2000 the cathedral was not heated. The modernisation has been proposed with use of the existing airducts and with the supply from the heat-generating network. The control method and exemplary measurement results are described. The PC was applied as a controller as well as the universal input/output modules with respective pressure, moisture and temperature sensors. Exemplary synoptic images, concerning the control of the heat supply and temperature distribution in the interior of the cathedral, are also presented.
