The method of identifying areas of risk of failure in water pipe network has been presented including presentation and analysis of risk factors for failure in water main pipe network, the proposal of the method for identifying risk areas using a simulation model of the water distribution subsystems (WDS) operation, and an example of application. In the hydraulic model, the failures of main water pipes as well as the operation of the WDS in the case of contamination were simulated. The proposed method consists of preparing the so-called risk maps and the designation of areas in which the limit values for the identified risk, the first type and the second type according to the assumed risk categories (tolerated, controlled and unacceptable) were exceeded.

Przypomniano o zagrożeniach, jakie niesie za sobą nagłe eksplozyjne uszkodzenie rurociągów w układzie wody zasilającej. Przedstawiono podstawowe rozwiązania techniczne tych rurociągów dla bloków 120 MW i 200 MW. Omówiono prowadzoną przez Pro Novum diagnostykę rurociągów wody zasilającej. Pokazano przykładowe wyniki badań i pomiarów diagnostycznych oraz skutki eksplozyjnego - nagłego uszkodzenia rurociągu wody zasilającej.

It is reminded about threats connected with a sudden, explosive pipeline damage in feed water systems. Presented are basie technical solutions of these pipelines for 120 and 200 MW power units. Discussed is the carried on by Pro Novum diagnostics of feed water pipelines. Shown are exemplary results of tests and diagnostic measurements as well as the results of a sudden, explosive damage of a feed water pipeline.
