The main function of architecture is to arrange living space for everyone regardless of their citizenship, social status, age, and physical abilities. The quality of a settlements’ architectural and spatial environment depends on various conditions where one of the key criteria at present is the need to consider interests of specific groups of people and explore architectural planning solutions that will ensure accessibility (safety and convenience) for low-mobility groups of the population. The article shows architectural planning aspects of forming an environment in terms of its convenience for low-mobility groups of the population. Also, it offers directions for the improvement of a settlements’ environment considering a criterion of accessibility. The article’s conclusions prove that accessibility (barrier-free space) is one of the key criteria of developing a high-quality architectural spatial environment.

The article discusses the features of the formation and development of prefabricated large-panel systems in civil engineering. Their advantages and disadvantages are given taking into account a variety of urban planning, architectural, structural and technological solutions. The directions of their improvement are determined and considered, the main of which are: optimization of parametric characteristics of building typing elements using modern computer technologies; increasing the steps of bearing walls with the introduction of large-span systems; improvement of technical solutions for enclosing structures and their joints; the use of combined panel-block systems based on local materials; improvement of aesthetic qualities and means of architectural and spatial expressiveness.

W artykule omówiono cechy tworzenia i rozwoju prefabrykowanych wielkopłytowych systemów w budownictwie. Ich zalety i wady przedstawiono z uwzględnieniem różnych rozwiązań urbanistycznych, architektonicznych, konstrukcyjnych i technologicznych. Zidentyfikowane i omówione zostały kierunki ich doskonalenia, z których główne to optymalizacja charakterystyk parametrycznych elementów typowania budynków przy użyciu nowoczesnych technologii komputerowych, zwiększenie kroków ścian nośnych dzięki wprowadzeniu systemów o dużej rozpiętości, doskonalenie rozwiązań technicznych konstrukcje ścian zewnętrzne i ich połączeń stykowych, stosowanie kombinowanych panelowych i blokowych systemów na bazie lokalnych materiałów, poprawa walorów estetycznych i środków wyrazu architektoniczno-przestrzennych.

In this work there are basic principles and the concept of energy-conservative technology choice method during the reconstruction. At the initial stage of design it could save a lot of time and make easier the process of decisions making for building owner. This method allows to choose architectural concepts without detailed calculations, using only general characteristics of the object. It also allows to combine different specifications of technologies and building properties, shows the value of efficiency and help to choose optimal architectural solutions.

Związki pomiędzy architekturą (zarówno w sensie dyscypliny naukowej, jak i obszaru działalności praktycznej) a psychologią osobowości są potencjalnie bogate i wielostronne, ale w praktyce niedookreślone i niebezpiecznie nawiązujące do stereotypów. Trzeba jeszcze dodać, że są to związki dość stare, wywodzące się z badań IPAR z lat pięćdziesiątych, ale raczej jednostronne i raczej psychologia osobowości, jak również psychologia twórczości zawdzięczają wiele architekturze niż odwrotnie. Nie kto inny jak architekci byli we wspomnianych badaniach IPAR osobami badanymi, w badaniach, których wyniki po dziś dzień zachowują swoją wartość. Powstaje pytanie, jak odwrócić tę sytuację, inaczej mówiąc - które elementy psychologii osobowości mogłyby się praktykującym architektom przydać i do czego? Celem tego tekstu jest dokonanie niewielkiego kroku w tym kierunku przez wskazanie pewnego ujęcia osobowości, dodajmy -z powodzeniem stosowanego w szeroko rozumianym zarządzaniu, które może okazać się drobnym, ale istotnym narzędziem wspomagającym proces projektowania.

The personalities of people involved in a design process do not influence directly and decisively the process itself or the quality or results. But they play an important role in some of the stages of the design. Based on the Jung Concept two Americans: Katherine Myers and Isabel Briggs-Myers (mother and daughter) compiled a logical and easy to use test - Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). Its purpose was to help people to understand each other, particularly to overcome individual differences. The differences hold a huge potential and at the same time are the source of misunderstandings and conflicts. The information which was gathered allowed the method to be used in a widely understood sphere of management. Training programs have been prepared on the subject of communication, collective problem solving and decision making. The objective of such training is to select a team balanced in psychological types and to improve techniques of team work, allowing effective problem solving as well as making optimal decisions. The working theory described here or the integrating model is an extremely valuable tool applied to understand and make use of differences in human behavior. In the case of an architect- it allows in general, identification of the ways of perception of the reality by the architect as well as by other participants of the design process. On the one hand it allows for better understanding of the needs and expectations of the ,,client" and on the other hand, a more efficient ,,game" in the design process.
