The article is devoted to solve the actual task of increasing the efficiency of air distribution by using linear diffusers to ensure the normative parameters of indoor climate. It is shown that in order to achieve maximum efficiency of air distribution it is necessary to provide air supply with air jets, which have normative velocity and temperature before entering the serviced area. The mathematical model of air supply with linear diffusers is improved. Airflow simulation was performed using CFD FLUENT (Ansys FLUENT) software using the k-ɛ turbulence model. It’s shown that using linear diffusers for supplying air into the room we can gain the main task - to create comfortable conditions with normative parameters.

In the paper possibility of improvement of airflow modeling in ventilated room was checked. Standard perpendicular room was examined. Into it, through the inlet, isothermal jet was supplied. Numerical simulations were carried out with the use of ANSYS CFX software, based on CFD method. Calculations were executed for steady conditions, with the use of k-ε turbulence model. Results of experiments, conducted in room’s physical model, in a region of supplying jet, with the benefit of laser doppler anemometer, were used for the validation of numerical simulations. Simulations were carried out for various variants of discretization grid. Cells size and their refinement were checked in terms of conformity to experiments results. For chosen best variant, effect of iteration process on jet flow’s pattern was observed.

There are presented the results of air jet's leakage condition influence research on its spread character. By results of investigations coefficient of air distribution device with specific leakage condition velocity reducing has been determined and possibility of this outlet practical using has been based. Two air distribution devices at leakage specific condition have been investigated. The aim of using of leakage specific condition is velocity reducing in air supply jets. It is important at organizing of small volume rooms ventilation. By investigation results charts have been obtained, which describe velocity reducing intensity in air jets. Results of research give possibility to utilize practically investigated air distribution devices in ventilation technique.

Relation between such factors as a noise level, air flow rate and incoming hole size were considered. The aim of investigations is to obtain the chart and analytic equations for determination of the necessary incoming hole size (diameter or width and height) under condition of the necessary amount of air satisfaction at the rated noise level. Experimental research of the acoustic phenomena at the air jets leakage from flat and round outlets was carried out in room 12,0x6,0x3,0 (h) m. Air was supplied at the various flow rate both through a flat incoming hole by variable width (200 - 600mm), height (10 - 60mm) and through a round outlet by various diameter (100 - 400mm). Air exhaust was realised through a side hole by diameter 250mm in a wall under a ceiling. Measurement of the air jet's velocity was made by thermoelectrical anemometer TA-9 at its numbers 0—5m/s. The noise level was measured by noisemeter SHM-1-MI and vibration of air pipes' metal walls - by vibrometer DN-3-MI. Three noise sources were taken into account, namely: fan, vibration of air pipes' metal walls and aerodynamic noise at the air jet's leakage. For obtaining universal calculating equations width, height and diameter of the outlets were expressed as sizeless. Air jet's initial velocity Vo at leakage from different size and shape incoming holes, noise level and vibration of air pipes' metal walls have been measured; the chart, that shows relation between such factors as a noise level, air flow rate and incoming hole's size of both shapes (flat and round), has been created; obtained chart has been approximated by equation for analytic calculation. Represented data gives a possibility to determine air distribution units' size under maintenance of the rated noise level, when necessary air amount is supplied, and is considered as a base for designing air conditioning system.
