W artykule przedstawiono dwa warianty rozbudowy gminnej oczyszczalni ścieków w celu spełnienia wymagań względem jakości ścieków oczyszczonych. Zaproponowane warianty różnią się rodzajem zastosowanych reaktorów do biologicznego oczyszczania ścieków. Są to odpowiednio reaktory wielofazowe z osadem czynnym oraz reaktory o działaniu cyklicznym SBR. Równorzędne technologicznie warianty oczyszczalni porównano pod względem ekonomicznym z uwzględnieniem kosztów inwestycyjnych i eksploatacyjnych.

In this article, two options of sewage treatment plant modernization were presented needed to meet the effluent requirements. The proposed variants varied in the type of bioreactor used. They were bioreactors with activated sludge and SBR reactors, respectively. Two equivalent sewage treatment plant options were compared in terms of their economy, taking into account investment and operating costs.

The article discusses technological aspects of the modernization and development of the Municipal Sewage Treatment Plant in Nowogard. The authorities of the town decided to undertake the modernization actions because the existing system based on an antiquated technology causes disadvantageous technological effects, devices exhibit design faults, and the User gets fined.The task of the Design Team is to elaborate a project of modernizing and developing the sevage treatment plant to such an extent that it could receive sewage of ca 5420m3/d of volume and obtain a quality of the wastes purification that it could meet present legal regulations concerning the removal degree of biogenic and carbon compounds.
