Przedmiotem artykułu jest ukazanie sposobu, w jaki można przedstawiać informacje o zagrożeniach oraz wypadkach drogowych w formie przejrzystej, czytelnej, interaktywnej mapy. Mimo, że główną uwagę poświęcono w artykule zdarzeniom drogowym to jednak takie analizy można prowadzić dla różnych typów zdarzeń czy zagrożeń. Świadczy to o tym, że możliwości dostępnych na rynku oprogramowań GIS i ich zastosowanie jest szerokie. Obecnie żyjemy w dobie społeczeństwa informacyjnego. Tak więc dostępność informacji o zagrożeniach jest ważna dla każdego człowieka, gdyż każdy chce się czuć bezpiecznie we własnym otoczeniu. Dlatego też obok opisu przykładowych zdarzeń czy zagrożeń drogowych oraz ukazania możliwości systemu informowania o zagrożeniu, przedstawiono w jaki sposób z takiego systemu może korzystać każdy użytkownik. Co więcej, również organy władzy czy służby mundurowe mogą tworzyć informacje oraz je analizować. Pośrednim efektem takiego rodzaju analiz jest przykładowo wytypowanie miejsc szczególnie niebezpiecznych, w których dochodzi do dużej liczby wypadków, dzięki czemu możliwe jest podjęcie odpowiednich działań w celu zapobiegania kolejnym zdarzeniom. Taki system może więc być bardzo pomocny dla różnych instytucji czy organów przy podejmowaniu decyzji strategicznych, zapobiegawczych czy ochronnych w aspekcie kształtowania bezpieczeństwa na drogach.

The aim of the article is to show the way of presenting information about many different roads dangers and car accidents as clear, intelligible, interactive maps. Although the main attention was paid to car accidents in the article, this kind of analyzes can be made for different types of events or dangers. This proves that using GIS tools have a lot of opportunities. Nowadays we are living in the century of informative association. So the accessibility of information about dangers is very important for people, because everyone wants to feel safety in their own surroundings. Because of that, besides the descriptions of these dangers and possibilities of information system about threats, the article shows how this system can be used by every user. What is more, authorities and uniformed services might create and analyse information. Indirect effect this kind of analysis is to found places which are particularly dangerous and where many negative things happen. Thanks to it, authorities might take appropriate actions in order to prevent another dangerous events. This system can be very useful in the state security forming for a lot of institutions and authorities in making strategic, preventive and protective decisions.

The road transport systems are sociotechnical systems of a Human - Technical Object - Environment less than H - TO -E more than type. The primary operation goal of these systems is safe realization of the transport services. Safety is dependent on interaction of the following forcing factors: - working - depending on TO operation, - external - describing impact of the environment on people and technical means of transport, - antropotechnical - affecting a TO due to intentional and unintentional actions of a man. From the data regarding the reasons for road accidents in road transport systems provided by the Police results that 97% of the analysed reasons are antropotechnical factors. While 78% refers to improper drivers' actions that was why it was attempted herein to identify the sources of the threats resulting from the intended and unintended actions of the vehicle operators in a public road transport system. In order to increase safety of the bus passengers and people who are in the system environment, it is needed to undertake actions aimed at elimination or reduction of improper drivers' behaviours. Information of the paper may be an initial point for making decisions aimed at increased safety of the transport system operation.

Analiza bezpieczeństwa ruchu drogowego przeprowadzona w krajach Unii Europejskiej wskazuje, iż niewłaściwie zaprojektowana infrastruktura drogowa jest bezpośrednią lub pośrednią przyczyną nawet 50% zdarzeń drogowych. Natomiast badania przeprowadzone w naszym kraju wskazują, iż nawet 70% zdarzeń drogowych jest związane z infrastrukturą drogową. W niniejszym artykule opisano przykładowe rozwiązania zmieniające organizację ruchu drogowego na wybranych węzłach drogowych, wpływające na zmniejszenie liczby zdarzeń drogowych oraz po-prawę płynności ruchu.

The traffic safety analysis carried out in the EU countries shows that improperly designed road infrastructure is the direct or indirect cause of even 50% of the road events. Whereas, the research done in our country points that even 70% of the road events has a connection with road infrastructure.
