This paper describes for the first time an original foggara, different from the classical foggara (foggara of Gourara) which collects water from the Intercalary Continental aquifer. Located in the middle of the Mzab River, this hydraulic system called the Mzab foggara is intended to exploit the flood waters. Two missions were carried in 2009 and 2010 in the Mzab Valley to describe the hydraulic system. The Mzab foggara constitutes of a gallery of ovoid form 200 m long equipped with 9 air shafts and a 900 m long seguia. The foggara of the Mzab River can drain water flow of 5 m³·s-1 to irrigate western part of the palm plantation of Ghardaia (located 600 km south of Algiers).

W artykule opisano po raz pierwszy oryginalną foggarę (podziemna instalacja wodna, używana do zaopatrywania siedzib ludzkich w wodę oraz nawadniania pól uprawnych na terenach suchych i pustynnych; inne nazwy to kanat i kariz - na podstawie Wikipedii), odmienną od klasycznej foggary z Gourara, która gromadzi wodę z kontynentalnego inkluzyjnego poziomu wodonośnego. Ten system hydrauliczny, zwany foggarą Mzab, usytuowany jest w środkowym biegu rzeki Mzab i przeznaczony do eksploatacji wód powodziowych. W celu opisania systemu przeprowadzono dwie wyprawy do doliny rzeki Mzab w latach 2009 i 2010. Foggara Mzab składa się z owalnej galerii długości 200 m, wyposażonej w 9 szybów wentylacyjnych i w 900-metrowy kanał rozdzielczy. Foggara rzeki Mzab może dostarczać wodę w ilości do 5 m³·s-1 do nawadniania zachodniej części plantacji palm w Ghardaia (600 km na południe od Algieru).

W okresie 1990-2010 wartość zestawu 24 środków mechanizacji rolnictwa w cenach bieżących wzrosła blisko dwudziestotrzykrotnie, podczas gdy wskaźnik cen towarów i usług konsumpcyjnych około piętnastokrotnie. Ceny poszczególnych maszyn rosły w różnym stopniu. Najbardziej wzrosła cena kombajnu zbożowego, natomiast wskaźnik wzrostu ceny opryskiwacza ze zbiornikiem o pojemności 400 l miał najmniejszą dynamikę w okresie objętym analizą i cały czas utrzymywał się poniżej inflacji.

Along the period of 1990-2010 the value of set including 24 farm mechanization means, in running prices, increased almost twenty three times, whereas the price index for raw materials and consumers' services - about fifteen times. The prices of particular machines rose to different extent. The most of all increased the price of a combine harvester, whereas an index of price increase for the field sprayer with tank of 400 l capacity, showed the lowest dynamics during analysed period and maintained below inflation all the time.

During the maintenance period of the building, the ground under foundation may freeze. The volume of the ground increases during freezing and there is also significant increase of its deformation module. The paper presents a simple estimation procedure for the prediction of foundation elevation caused by the ground freezing below the foundation level.

Landsat 7/ETM + image processed with method taking advantage of ratio images and Principal Component Analysis - PCA was put to Supervised Classification. Classification was carried out with Maximum Likelihood Classification method on the basis of land cover classes determined upon ground exploration data and complementary data as topographic and thematic maps of investigated area. Analysis of satellite image was executed in ER Mapper 6.1 with out thermal and panchromatic band. Results were compared and usefulness of foregoing methods to determine land cover in the area of flooded river basins was given.
