The paper presents the automated system of control of certain elements of the hydrodynamic system related to the production of liquid milk. Similar systems may find application in various fields of engineering, such as: hydro power station construction; oil refineries construction; control systems in various chemical industries containing hydrogen atoms in the final product; in propellant flow rate systems, etc., whenever it is required to control hydrodynamic parameters by means of nuclear magnetic resonance on the relevant atoms of the products used.

Artykuł prezentuje zautomatyzowany system sterowania wybranymi elementami systemu hydrodynamicznego wykorzystywanego przy produkcji mleka. Podobne systemy mogą znaleźć zastosowanie w innych obszarach zastosowań, np. hydroelektrowniach, rafineriach, zakładach chemicznych, układach paliwowych, itp., gdzie jest wymagane kontrolowanie parametrów hydrodynamicznych za pomocą jądrowego rezonansu magnetycznego.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with hyperpolarized 3^He is a new method of studying structure and function of lungs. We present a novel low field MRI system based on permanent magnet and the 3^He polarizing unit being built in Krakow. Our system is designed to perform experiments on small animals (rats).

Z przeglądu wynikają szerokie możliwości zastosowania metody magnetycznego rezonansu jądrowego w chemii cementu i inżynierii materialowej.

A survey is made of the papers presented on the 10th Intemational Conference on Cement Chemistry held in Göteborg in 1997 dealing with Nuculear Magnetic Resonance techniques used in investigations of cement matrix composites. Both the plenary Iecture and eight papers are thoroughly described. It has been concluded that Nuclear Magnetic Resonance methods are very useful for studying properties of building materials without chemical conversion. It is worth undertining that new developments of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance lead to new results and conclusions about tested building materials.
